Two visits with this doctor for a very painful knee problem. During both visits he was smug, curt, indifferent and in a hurry to get out of the room. Very little information was forthcoming from him, I had to ask and even then the answers were brief and even condesending. The procedure he performed has provided no benefit whatsoever. It's time this doctor should retire.

Dr McConville and his staff were very efficient and helpful. They explained the problem with my torn rotator cuff, and showed how it would be repaired. Surgery went well, and post surgery pain was manageable.

I cannot say enough about this wonderful team. Everyone was so knowledgeable, attentive, punctual. The team I had for my rotator cuff/ bicep tendon repair was top notch!!! And healing has been exactly as planned, healing perfect!

I can’t say enough good about this physician and his wonderful staff! Dr. McConville and his PA, Angie, repaired my torn rotator cuff and I have had an amazingly quick recovery, with a huge improvement in my quality of life! The physical therapist treating me is amazed at my rapid recovery and says that she has seen this consistently from this doctor. All the staff at 2 Pond Park, from the OR staff, to the office/administrative staff (especially Sue!), radiology techs, assistants, scribes and greeters have been kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed every visit I had there because they made me feel welcome. I always felt that I was treated like an individual, not just an anonymous patient. If you need shoulder surgery, and you’re looking for an expert, seek out Dr. McConville. Thank you to all!

some wonderful highlights from my appointments and surgery with him for my knee
*”it’s an easy surgery and recovery, you’ll start to benefit within four weeks”
* during every appointment he would not talk to me, I’m still a teens so my mother was with me, and he really only talked to her
*we were told I could go back to school four days later, but I still could not put any weight on my leg
*had an emergency appointment with him and he told me everything was fine, just give it a day
*i was still in pain but it lessened a bit, I went on with my life
*six weeks after surgery I was still in pain, so we made a new appointment
* he told us if I wanted an MRI I could get one and he’d look at it, but it’s probably not going to show anything
* I git one, he called and left a voicemail saying that absolutely nothing is wrong, I didn’t do well in physical therapy and I didn’t try hard enough, and he’s going to mail a new prescription for physical therapy
* calls A WEEK LATER and tell us via voicemail that I probably have another small tear in my meniscus, the cartilage in the knee but he said there was absolutely nothing he could do, and I just need to take my pain meds he game me
* he gave me two 90 count 800mg ibuprofen prescriptions, which taking that much for a long time is terrible for you

It’s now almost a year later, I’m still in pain, still in physical therapy, which is not helping my pain, mcconville has no bedside manner, and doesn’t give a sh*t about his patients

Dr. McConville operated on me for a large bone spur in the shoulder and a torn rotator cuff. He is an experienced, skilled, and excellent surgeon.
He puts patients at ease and gives great attention to detail. His staff I see highly trained and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend. He is the go to guy for shoulders.

Dr.M. acted like he could care less about me. He talked down to me and started walking out the door while I was still talking with him. I BROUGHT MY HUSBAND WITH ME BECAUSE OF HOW HE TREATED ME AND HE SPOKE TO MY HUSBAND AS THOUGH I WASN'T IN THE ROOM. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO BACK TO HIM.
