I was in the office for an hour and a half and spent maybe 20 minutes with the doctor. The audiologist was great, the nurse and receptionist were fine, but the doctor was awful. Very awkward, seemed very annoyed that I was there, treated me like I was stupid and he would rather be anywhere else. I had 2 different doctors and an audiologist tell me I had an ear infection and he told me that only an ENT could diagnose and ear infection, so it was likely I never had one. I told him I was having trouble hearing out of my left ear and he told me everything was perfect, so there was no way I was having trouble hearing. I was told I most likely had TMJ because it's the only thing that would explain my ear feeling like it's plugged. I've never had TMJ symptoms or been diagnosed with it. When I asked him how to fix it he told me to stop chewing things and if I had to chew to do so symmetrically and to put heat on it and take ibuprofen. I got a nice history lesson on why ENTs are better than other doctors and then told "next time you think you have an ear infection come see me and we won't have this problem." The only thing I cam out of this office knowing, was that this guy has no business practicing medicine in an capacity or being around other people, and that I will never go back to see this guy again, nor will I recommend him to anyone.

The best doctor in Idaho... hands down! We are from central Idaho and our 3 year old has had chronic otitis media and cough for which multiple family practioners/internists couldn't help. We were recommended to see an ENT expert in Salt Lake City.... what a waste of time and money$$. Again after extensive work-up we were told nothing was wrong. By a recommendation from a friend we drove to Pocatello to see Dr. McGee. Literally within 5 minutes of questioning....yes he actually talks to you like you're a human being (unlike most drs these days).... he diagnosed our daughter with a somewhat rare disorder. She has a lack of hair like structers on her cells called kartegeners syndrome. He is no longer treating her condition since it is so rare and best treated at an advanced center but WE THANK HIM FOR EVER!!!!!

Dr. Mcgee wouldn't explain things unless we specifically asked him. When he did answer questions he seemed annoyed that he had to explain things to us. He performed a tympanostomy on our child and the tubes fell out after only a few months. There were some further complications where granulation tissue formed in both ears. We were told that our child needed new tubes, and that Dr. Mcgee would be using a different tube that was made from a different substance and shaped differently. Two weeks after the second operation the tubes fell out (one into the inner ear). It was at this point we were told that he had used the same shaped tubes because the others were too big. After realizing he had performed the exact same procedure using the same shaped tube (even though the other ones didn't work) and then never told us this, we found a new doctor who didn't seem frustrated when the patients case wasn't typical.
