I highly recommend Dr. Rosenfeld for any colorectal surgeries. I found him online and found that using his practice and paying out of pocket was much more affordable then utilizing my health insurance. I drove 1 hour to visit him for the consultation and immediately was welcomed by his amazing staff and by Dr Rosenfeld himself. This type of procedure if very invasive and incredibly uncomfortable and one could even say humiliating but it was all minimized by Dr Rosenfeld and his staff. Do yourself a favor rid yourself of any hemmoriods now and see Dr. Rosenfeld. He is an exceptional health care practicer, kind and very educational .
Thank you Doc

We all hope for that perfect blend of competence and care when it comes to finding a new physician. And we know how incredibly rare it is to find. So, being a woman in a lot of pain, needing a good doctor to help me immediately, I called my GP, OB & GI docs… who ALL recommended Dr. Rosenfeld. I called his office and Genesis and Lyndsey were lovely, helpful, and got me in the next morning. What I didn’t expect, was to find this doctor to be kind, patient, and THE MOST EMPATHETIC DOCTOR I have ever met. I came in with a clipboard of questions and notes and he listened to every word I said, answered every question, and actually graciously praised me for caring enough about my health to ask these questions. NO EGO!! I’m sure some of the questions were silly, but he never for one second made me feel like I was asking dumb questions or wasting his time. He gave me as much time as I needed, and he listened! On my follow up, a month later, he remembered the things we discussed. His exam is gentle and his assistant, Lyndsey, is wonderful as well. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenfeld as a knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and caring physician—where you will feel taken care of, and leave feeling better! 1 Teaspoon of his Perfect P - - P (psyllium) and 1 Probiotic/day coupled with his other health advice has healed me. Grateful for his wonderful care—and to know he is there should I need him again. * Also, his office fees are very reasonable, especially given the amount of time he spends with you! *

I travelled from Canada to have surgery by Dr. Rosenfeld and I have absolutely no regrets. His staff was amazing and he was amazing. Great sense of humor to lighten the mood for such an embarassing procedure! I would recommend him to anyone considering having this type of surgery performed.

My experience with Dr. Rosenfeld's office is one of the most pleasant one's I have ever had in any healthcare facility. I was referred to Dr. Rosenfeld by my PCP after suffering from bleeding after a bowel movement (chronic constipation). Dr. Rosenfeld was very kind, professional and gentle throughout the examination process. He took his time to explain how the examination would go and was very reassuring throughout. He provided excellent followup advice. I have implemented the recommended lifestyle changes - added more fiber to my diet, stayed well hydrated throughout the day and my symptoms have massively improved over the last 4 weeks. Dr. Rosenfeld is an incredible physician and I highly recommend him to anyone with any colorectal issues/questions/concerns. Thanks Dr.

I found Dr. Rosenfeld 8 years ago after 3 other proctologists (even UCLA) could not permanently fix the fissure I had. He did, and I’ve been a loyal client ever since! The bum can be an awkward subject to talk about and he always makes it easy. He’s personable, patient, and funny.
When I’ve called with concerns his staff is always quick to get me in. I just had my 2nd colonoscopy with him yesterday and it could not have gone smoother. The facility he uses for the procedure is well organized, quiet, and fast. The nurses and anesthesiologist were fantastic as well. I felt totally comfortable and safe in their care and was in and out in a little over 2 hours.
I’ve seen a number of proctologists over the years and he is absolutely the best of the best!

Trust the reviews - Dr. Rosenfeld is the best! After being told I needed a Hemorrhoidectomy - Dr. Rosenfeld was with me every step of the way. I was scared and nervous because of all of what I had read online regarding recovery (thank you for scaring me Reddit). He explained the process, recovery time, and eased all my fears. To my surprise, recovery was actually less painful. He and his staff ensured that I felt comfortable. I even made it into a family affair with my dad getting a colonoscopy on the same day I got a hemorrhoidectomy. Worth every out of pocket expense - I highly recommend to anyone to see Dr. Rosenfeld.

If your reading this review let's make the mood a perfect one and imagine Carly Simon singing the James Bond theme, "Nobody does it better" from the The spy who loved me. That is the best introduction I can think of to give Dr. Rosenfeld. He is the James Bond of proctology. He's confident, charming and laser focused on addressing your specific needs. I've been a nurse in healthcare for over 20 years. I can recognize those healthcare providers that shine and go above and beyond. I first started going to Dr. Rosenfeld in February 2018, I was blown away how professional he was and his bedside manner was nothing less than stellar. He made great eye contact and was smiling the entire time I hit him up with 500 questions. You can tell he was smiling under his mask and you heard it in his voice. He cares, he really does. In this day and age, all you seem to find is stuffy offices and you're greeted by a front desk staff that has a cardboard cutout personality. Anticipating this, you don't make the call or you keep putting off the appointment because you dread an intimidating experience. This was not the case at all with Dr. Rosenfeld. Let me use this part of my review for a shout out to Genesis (his front desk and clinical assistant) She was so professional that it really helped take the nervous edge off. Genesis is a lovely lady whose heart goes into her work and it really shows when patients like me feel embarrassed or have so many questions.
This past summer, I had to make an appointment for a third time when a hemorrhoid situation was out of control. I thought all hope was lost and was expecting to hear bad news. I was a bag of nerves and should've known better but I went down a "google internet doctor rabbit hole" and only imagined the worst case scenario. Here's a subliminal message mid review ***Do not get on the internet and google doctor your healthcare symptoms, see a professional*** When I spoke to Dr Rosenfeld, all of the drama I spinning in my head from the internet was not true! I'm so glad I made an appointment and talked with Dr R in person!
I had Dr Rosenfeld remove an external situation which I thought was going to be general anesthetic and a painful blood bath. It wasn't at all! (again, google is NOT your friend)
To my surprise, it was able to be done in office and with a local anesthetic. He did a terrific and gentle job! Yup, I used the word gentle to describe a hemorrhoid removal because that is how he did it! I hardly experienced any pain and I was able to drive myself home (btw, I live about 150 miles away) and if he relocated his practice even further, I'd still travel the distance to see him.
I should've written this review right after the procedure but I'm glad I'm doing it now because I can tell you the the results were better than I ever expected. I'm 7 months post removal and following all his advice, I healed very quickly. I haven't bled once since that time and my entire area was carefully taken care of and it's like nothing ever happened. I am beyond grateful to Dr. Rosenfeld and his staff.
He is the only one I trust with my boy basement.

Biography

As a proctologist, Dr. Rosenfeld’s goal is to offer excellent care in the field of proctology and colonoscopy. He and his staff are committed to providing a warm, caring and compassionate environment for the patient. Those seeking a proctologist are typically in pain, frightened and embarrassed about their condition. It is important for the patient to feel comfortable in order to facilitate a discussion of his/her problems which maximizes the doctor’s ability to give the best care possible. Dr. Rosenfeld’s goal is to offer up to date medical treatment with a 1950′s bedside manner. Although my training in surgery and my subspecialty of proctology was based on Western Medicine philosophy, my practice approach includes a holistic ideology as well. All patients are different, therefore the one size fits mentality is not the way to practice medicine. I firmly believe in natural and conservative therapies for healing and reserve surgery for times when it becomes the best option or is the only option. I begin therapy, when appropriate, with all natural products to improve colorectal and anorectal health. These products include unadulterated PERFECT P.O.O.P. psyllium based fiber, natural plant based (bioflavonoid) antioxidants to shrink hemorrhoids, probiotics, prebiotics with other natural ingredients like L-Glutamine and Aloe Vera extract for improving intestinal health and encourage more water intake. Prior to determining if hemorrhoid surgery is necessary I can painlessly treat internal hemorrhoids in the office as the first line of therapy. For the majority of patients therapy along with all natural supplements work very well to avert surgery for the issue. When surgery or a procedure such as a colonoscopy is necessary, I use the latest proven technology along with the newest proven methods available. The best way to offer effective, caring and nurturing health care is to listen to the patients, make a diagnosis and, when appropriate, use both a holistic practice in conjunction the Western practices of Medicine. Both philosophies have their advantages and when used together can be more effective than done individually.
