This doctor and practice is still awful. Please see prior comments. The people leaving 5’s seem to be family or staff.

Dr. Ehsan has been invaluable to me. I had shingles in my brain and he has been a God send. His staff is quiet but efficient. I arrive early and there has only been one time in the 18 months I have seen him (I am going monthly) that he was 20 minutes late seeing me. Any other time he has often seen me early. On my first visit I was there for almost 2 hours. He was wonderful. He called my primary, the ER doctor to discuss the CAT/MRI scans, took my complete medical history (from my husband) and was able to connect all of it. He is very knowledgeable! He is kind. He has never given up on me and we continue to try new things every few months. You will need to have patience so that you can try what he suggests, see how it works and then go back to discuss. The only thing that's tough is that there are really bright lights in his office and when you have a lot of head pain it can be slightly uncomfortable. I wear sunglasses.

The staff was often flustered and very short over the phone. For appointments, I would arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment and would not be seen until 30+ minutes after the scheduled appointment times consistently. The bedside manner was sub par and unprofessional. The knowledge of the available treatment options was narrow and focused on one treatment option. Often times appointments would last for 5-10 minutes at most and there was a general lack of interest in patient health and well-being.

By far the worst doctor in the medical profession in my opinion. He treated me for a seizure. I recently asked for detailed info regarding my seizure and he had the NERVE to tell me to contact the hospital to get the details in my medical records, yet he was my neurologist, rather than to answer a basic question. Please save your time and frustrations and avoid this practice.

This is the worst medical practice I have ever worked with. They botched insurance paperwork to get me a sleep apnea study and eventually two months later the study showed I had severe apnea. The night of the appointment I waited in a dark parking at 10 pm for someone to show and let me in the office. The practice hours are until 5 pm...but you will most likely get an answering service well before then. The doctor is non-communicative. Get a new doctor as fast as you can.

I have been suffering with migraines for about 15 years now. My regular Dr. suggested since I have had a migraine for over a month and the regular migraine meds she put me on are not working I should see a neurologist. The first mistake/mess up with this Dr was I asked for an appointment in their Fairfax office, they scheduled me for Herdon. When I went in he did a few in office test (reflexes etc -didn't really see how these were going to help my migraines) he put me on 2 different meds and told me no more chocolate or dairy. However after taking the med that he prescribed for me to take every 12 hrs for 3 days. I can't concentrate, dizzy, light headed, I can't drive or function while on the meds and truely got to the point where I felt like I was losing my mind because I was seeing things that were not there. I took myself off the meds and I have been attempting to get in touch with the Dr for 4 days and he has yet to return my calls. At this point I am beyond frustrated.

He is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about his patients. He doesn't do unnecessary tests or make you come back for unnecessary visits. He returns my calls. He is a good neurologist, and I will certainly go back to see him, if I have the need.

Dr. Ehsan treated me while I was in the hospital and I have continued seeing him at his Fairfax office. I have been pleased with his professionalism, medical advice and recommended course of treatment.

I was referred to Dr. Ehsan. I'm a veteran, and suffer from migraines. He does not give you the rx's that are needed for migraine patients. I'm very sensitive to ALOT of migraine meds and have only found one. I asked him for my migraine pain meds and he denied it 4 times. Unfortunately I ended up in the hospital, and had to go to the VA hospital in DC,(where surprisingly they helped me). The dr. @ the VA was so angry that my personal neurologist didn't give me anything and I could've avoided the whole 45min ride on metro when my OWN personal dr was only 5 min a way and could've called the pharmacist. I will not be giving him anymore business EVER. He takes money and does not care and spends 2 mins with you at the most. I now get paralysis on one side and numbeness and lock jaw with my migraines and he just gave me phenergan and inderal. SMH. I don't know what to do. :-(

He is one of the worst physicians I have seen. A complete and total embarrassment to the field. He lacks bedside manner, grace, and dignity. You would be better off going to a horse for your medical care, at least the horse knows something. He should be ashamed of himself. I would never wish his services on any human being living or dead.
