After two miscarriages, I finally left Dr. Wotherspoon and went to Cox. During both miscarriages, answers were not given by Dr. Wotherspoon or staff who told me to just keep trying and things like this happen. Despite my persistence no further testing was done on any of my hormone levels, not even progesterone. After the first miscarriage, Dr. Wotherspoon performed a vaginal exam and told me I was good to try again, but that I was too small to ever have a vaginal birth (even though I wasn’t pregnant at the time). I was less than impressed with her bedside manner and lack of care for me and my situation. Her staff was less than friendly and emailed me to let me know that I was miscarrying the second time. When I addressed the fact I was emailed and not called due to the sensitive nature, the nurse said it was because I had been emailing them (with questions mind you about previous labs). I am so glad that I left and no longer have to wait an hour for appointments that last 5 minutes and have a doctor who cares and is kind and knowledgeable.

Dr. Wootherspoon was my OB with my first pregnancy, which ended in a miscarriage. She did not see me at all throughout my pregnancy and miscarriage. One of her nurses was very helpful, one of them was very rude and insensitive. When I had my follow-up appointment she was running an hour behind, and when I finally got into the room she had left for a c-section. I was not given the option to reschedule and was forced to meet with her nurse practitioner. While the nurse practitioner was nice, she was unable to address several of my questions. It was an awful experience. I would not recommend her to anyone.

My experience was horrid. If I could give zero stars, I would. The reception workers are ok, they can only do so much with what they have to work with. I had blood work done, my estrogen levels were off the charts. What does she do? Prescribes more estrogen. I was having painful, irregular periods, my back and pelvic region pain was more than I could stand. It hurt to walk or stand for short periods of time. I ended up spending months getting multiple ultrasounds, some of those were painful, pelvic ultrasounds are not external. One tech even told me she was having trouble getting a picture of my ovaries and there seemed to be a lot of "debris". During one visit, I heard her "staff" in at the station near my room laughing about my description of symptoms. When I described where my pain was, the Dr said, " that's not where your ovaries are, that's too high". I ended up in ER one night due to the effect of too much estrogen, the Dr on call there phoned her and he came in and said her reply was, "well if she can't tolerate PremPro, there's nothing else I can do. Oh, let me mention the ultrasounds kept showing multiple cysts on my ovaries. When I would call the office and speak to the nurse, whom I never saw, she was no help whatsoever. She just said the cysts may go away on their own. After my third ultrasound and third visit, where the doctor kept checking her watch, she said to give it 6 more weeks, get another ultrasound. She told me to schedule with the front desk and left quickly in what I considered the middle of my office visit. I called a compounding pharmacy and the pharmacist was shocked at my estrogen levels and she asked if she could help get me some progesterone only to help. Thank God for her. I then made an appointment 250 miles away with another doctor's office who specialized in total care for women. They did an evaluation, blood work and ultrasounds and were astounded that my former Doctor's office didn't see that: my ovaries were covered in multiple cysts and no, they wouldn't go away on their own, my ovaries were indeed where my pain was, it just so happened they were higher than "normal", but that happens with some women, my estrogen and testosterone levels were indeed off the charts, the progestone that the PHARMACIST helped me get, probably saved my sanity, PremPro was probably the worst thing I could have taken, my uterus was twice the size it should be because it was full of fibroids and they suspected I had quite a lot of endometriosis, and that was causing my pelvic and back pain, along with my other symptoms. They scheduled surgery the next week and I had a total radical hysterectomy. Unfortunately I couldn't keep an ovary to help with regular hormone levels due to the damage that had been done by letting it go for so long. After surgery, the surgeon apologized that I had to endure so long and could not believe o had been "brushed off" for so long. He said the endometriosis was horrible, and no wonder I felt so bad. It was everywhere and they had to scrape it off of everything. I'm sure I've missed some details, but my summary of my experience is: Horrible. I have since come in contact with people who have the same feeling. I have three words for you: Dr Poppy Daniels. She cares, she takes her time, she's qualified, intelligent, thorough, and she wants to help. I'm glad I found her, because now I don't have to drive 250 miles to get legitimate quality care.

I saw Dr. Wotherspoon for my first delivery. I originally went to her for routine gyno visits and then stayed when I became pregnant. My appointments NEVER started on time, and she always seemed rushed when she finally was in the room. I heard her discussing me outside of the room with a nurse about why I didn't have a PAP smear until I was 22. She pushed for an induction even though the high risk doctor said I was fine to wait. She performed an episiotomy without telling me she was doing it, and I ended up with a 4th degree tear. I changed doctors when I found I was pregnant with my second child.

I saw her throughout my 4th pregnancy. She was late by at least an hour for every appointment. When she did see me she was in a hurry and would just leave the exam room before I even had a chance to ask .you questions. I returned today for a follow up visit and asked her about the extreme hip and pelvis pain that I have been experiencing since delivery. Her response was that no matter howhat much weight I lose my jeans will never fit the same. She clearly does not listen to her patients. I asked the questions again asking if she thought the pain was normal and she shrugged it off and said to just take some Ibuprofen and I would be fine. I am so disgusted with her lateness, insensitivity, and total lack of inattention. She is either incompetent or could care less about her patients. Either way she provides very poor care and I would say run from this doctor.

I had visited dr wotherspoon through out my entire pregnancy as my ob/gyn every visit i had i waited well over an hour after my appointment time, then once finally back in the room i almost always waited 15-30 minutes for her to make it to my room. Every appointment i bring my questions so i remember what to ask and every time she answers 1 maybe 2 questions before saying "okay were done here!" Once, she was still talking answering one of my questions as she was walking out the door while i still had multiple left, she just left the room after she finished her sentence and i sat there for a good 10 minutes wondering if we were done or is she coming back until i hear her down the hall saying shes going to the hospital to see a patient. This is my first pregnancy and every time i leave her office i still have to turn to google to answer my unresolved questions. I would rather see her nurse practitioner than her any day. I understand shes a busy woman but my pregnancy nearing the end and i'm still not even sure what i do or where i go when i feel its time, and i'm not even sure what i'm suppose to be looking out for. Unfortunately she is all my insurance will cover but if i had the money i would have gone to cox health for my services.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wotherspoon's for several years; she delivered my youngest daughter, and was my physician throughout my pregnancy. She is a wonderful doctor, and is very easy to talk to. I have always felt comfortable talking with her about concerns and questions. She really listens to her patients, and is extremely knowledgeable.

She is a horrible doctor. My mother has been complaining about the same problem now for more than a year and the doctor that she is will not do any more test. She is a horrible doctor. I have been trying to get my mother to see another doctor I would not recomment her to anyone. She is a horrible doctor. She is only there for a paycheck.

She put me on clomid, I have pcos and problems with infertility....I tried several times to get a hold of her, I wanted to be monitored because of the clomid and she blew me off and referred me to someone else the week I needed her to do labs. If I am paying her she should do ask I ask. I would NEVER recommend her to anyone!
