Dr. McCue delivered my son on 11/22/09. I had a normal labor, then right as I reached 10cm, my son's heartrate plummeted to 50. Dr. McCue and my nurse, Jan, tried repositioning me and gave me oxygen. Suddenly there was a gush of blood. Dr. McCue raced me to the OR for an emergency c-section. My placenta had ruptured. All of the nurses who came to my room said that it was a good thing Dr. McCue was on duty. Other doctors in the practice would have had me push for a while since I was at 10cm. My son would have either suffered brain damage or died. Instead, he's 3 years old and amazing. I got pregnant 4 months later, not on purpose. At 20 weeks, I was 70% effaced and dilating. No doctors in Manassas would do a cerclage at 20 weeks. A doctor at Reston hospital agreed to do it. At 23 weeks, the cerclage failed and I went to the hospital to see Dr. McCue. He made all the necessary calls and had me rushed to Fairfax Inova. My baby is now a healthy toddler.

My rating for the staff is for this doctor, not anyone else in the office (everyone else was kind). But not him. This was the absolute worst gynecologist I have ever dealt with. Dr. Mccue was over an hour late for the appointment. Seemed to only gloss over my medical records, confusing information, saying he'd treated me before when he had not. Barely addressed why I came in for an appointment, did a ridiculously fast pelvic exam in less than a minute, and seemed to want to make me take medication for something which was not why I came in to see him. Would never go back to him. Would never recommend him to anyone for anything. Very rude and rushed and seemingly irritable. If you want a gynecologist who does not listen to you, talks over you, tries to push their agenda on you, without much care for you personally, then go to this guy. Otherwise, stay far away.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM! RUSHED TO GET HOME! He was the Dr on call from my OB's office. He didn't read my charts, didn't care that I did not want drugged, wanted to nurse, and/or didn't want cut down below. He came in when it was time, delivered my baby, and proceeded to stick his abnormally LARGE hands up inside of me, grabbed the plecenta ripped it out (With me screaming and protesting the whole time, but that didn't matter one bit!), proceeded to drug me with stadol(even though I still had my epadural in). Checked records, plecenta was out within 9 mins of baby!! I had a horrible reaction to the stadol, couldnt hold my baby til over an hour later! Continued to bleed horribly, 2 months later the practice ordered a d and c only to find out there was still plecenta left behind!! It's been almost 5 months and I'm still wearing pads! STAY AWAY FROM HIM! I've heard all my other mommy friends say how lovely their deliveries were... I'm jealous!

He delivered my daughter. He stitched me up WAY too tight after my episiotomy. Wish he was more personable. Also, he put my IUD in, did great with that.
