Well. I believe he was a good doctor but unfortunately I ended up with cerebral palsy due to lack of oxygen at birth and believe it was his fault maybe not intentional but I think I deserve some justice

Dr. Steed delivered both our sons, in 1975 and 1978, at Etobicoke General Hospital, Ontario. Always good-natured - and with lots of patience - he really enjoyed his practice and it showed. Your Canadian patients still remember you, and wish you all the best.

Like some other comments I had Dr. Steed when he was in Clinton, Ontario He was the most caring and commpassionate doctor I have ever had. One of the saddest days of my life saying goodbye. Before he left he made sure I was well looked after. Still miss him so much.

Dr.Steed is so sweet. I just love him. I hear that he is leaving. I hope I heard wrong. I really trust him as my doctor and I consider him a friend. So I hope he stays in Marion. He's my daughter's doctor too and she doesn't want him to leave either. I know that he has other patients that feels the same way. I just can't see going to someone else. I really hope that you stay Dr. Steed.

He is a very caring and wonderful doctor. He saved my baby and my life. Anyone who goes to see him will know how I can trust him with my life and I just did last Wednesday and I'm doing great because of him. We love you Dr.Steed.

Boy do I agree with the others on this site Dr. Steed. We really do miss you up here in Ontario, particularly the Clinton area. I gave birth to 5 children while in your care and I would never have wanted anyone else. Little Shawn is now 18 years old. He was born not long before you left. You were a special part of our lives and I have had one bad doctor after another since you left. Please come back! I have never completely trusted someone like I trusted you. You always listened without judgement and never looked down on us for our thoughts or ideas and asked us what we would like to do if we had the choice in any particular situation which is a trait that I have never come across again in any other doctor since. You should be very proud of yourself because there is nobody else like you, that's for sure. You were always on top of new things and on the forefront of technology too. I would put my life in your hands. Anyway, enough blabber, I'm tearing up here. WE MISS YOU..COME HOME!!!

We miss you something fierce up here in Ontario! You were the most caring, brilliant doctor we could've had! We'll never forget you and we hope you'll never forget Jennifer and Renaye. You delivered them both sunny-side up, looking right at you! You were never to busy or too important to answer every little question we had. You weren't just a doctor, you were a good friend. You always gave the truth, good or bad, but delivered it with such kindness. The girls adored you as they grew up and you made every visit an event. My most cherished memory: when a 3 yr old Jennifer told you, she was going to be your pediatrician when you grew old. She didn't batt an eyelash when you laughingly explained that she must mean geriatrics and she insisted it was pediatrics and that you would get younger again. . . 2nd childhood in your senior years perhaps? lol. She's married and about to have her first baby. Too bad she's in Alabama and not WV. She'd be your patient in a heartbeat. You're the best!

I just stumbled across this site and had to find Dr. Steed in here!! He is the most awesome Dr. I ever had -I have had four children and in my 53 years, have moved many time-thus, seeing tons of doctors both for myself and my family. I really don't remember too many of them, but Dr. Steed is the one that has always been my fondest memory. Just an excellent, upbeat Dr.,best pregnancy and delivery I could have ever had!! I so enjoyed his wife, Janie, who worked as his secretary and we enjoyed Janie bringing Taryn (their daughter) to meet my children while I delivered! Awesome experience-I still remember it 11 years later. Good thing I was to old to have another baby-it was the easiest birth I had (and I was 43!!!). I don't usually fill out these things-but I just had to!!! I had to move away, and have never found an OB/GYN that even comes close to Dr. Steed (I therefore, have not been in several years-I know, NOT GOOD).

He seems to be a great Dr. I went to the emergency with severe pain, they had no answers. I went to the family Dr., still no answers. I went to Dr. Steed & he knew right away that I had an ovarian cyst. He was great.
