She is always late for an appointment and if we have a problem getting our medication she makes you wait till it's available

The staff never answers the phone or replies to messages in a decent amount of time. A records request was supposed to take 2 weeks and took roughly three months and several calls. The fees for the records is outrageous too! Any record request (for other doctors or personal request) puts the office on edge and they will start giving you attitude and issues once the request is done. The wait for an appointment is horrific and takes forever; typically over 30 minutes. They made my child wait in my car for over an hour and a half during my appointment because they didn't want her there. She was only there because I had to bring her for another appointment. The staff is not friendly at all and always appear pissy. Dr Pennington is always late, never knows what is going on, barely does an exam, doesn't explain anything or give you results of x-rays or MRI's. When you ask for them she gets mad. Half the time she can't remember she ordered them or when. The office will accuse you of all sorts of things when you ask questions or request records. It is a scare tactic to get you to do what they want or they won't give you the meds you need. Even with the telehealth visits, Dr Pennington is at least 30-60 minutes late and doesn't seem to give a rat's butt about the patient. There is nothing good to say about this office...so sad. I would prefer zero stars instead of one.

Forced reduction of meds claiming it's the law when it isn't.

I have lupus and suffer with chronic pain. Dr. Pennington has always been extremely caring, knowledgeable and takes the time to answer any questions along with a clear detailed explanation of the answer. She has a beautiful personality and has always been friendly. My experiences over the past 3 years have all been positive. While reading the reviews that portray her in a negative light, it almost felt like there was a mistake of some sort. I agree that the wait time can be long, but for me that's once every 3 months....I can handle that and she's worth the wait. She always shakes my hand and says "God bless you" at the end of my appointment. That's a first for me! I have found that most of the nurses are very competent and if there was a mistake made they were extremely apologetic. I did see a doctor one time by the name of Gerry Smith before I found Dr. Pennington. This man is a psycho and should not be allowed to practice, he's an evil person. Dr. Pennington restored my faith in humanity.

I have been seeing Dr. Pennington for over a year. I find her very knowledgeable and caring although the wait time for appointments is very long. I have waited over two hours, several times, for my scheduled appointments. This is enough to drive you away.

I found her to be noncommittal. I am bedridden so my husband takes care of my affairs. I missed an appointment and I didn't realize it until a month before I had to get my script refilled. When I called the office to explain my situation, they basically told me that was too bad. I had to make an appointment which was beyond the time for my medication refill. I explained to her nurse that I needed to get my script refilled and I only needed to see the doctor for 5 minutes. She wouldn't bend. Unless you are only certain meds, you don't know the effects of certain medication. My body is in so much pain and the staff doesn't seem to take my pain seriously. I need a doctor who demonstrate compassion.

I saw Dr.Pennington back in March of 2014 and she was very rude towards me. I found her to be uncaring and not sypathetic to my medical issues. My previous doctor was the total opposite so when I met her I was in shock and left in tears. She never took the time to take my blood pressure, check my medicine or ask how I was. I had to introduce myself and extend my hand before she even acknowledged me. I saw her once and will never go back.

My mother called the morning of her appointment to make sure of the date and time to confirm. I took off work to take my mother to see Dr. Pennington and anxious for her views on recent x-rays that were taken. my mother has been in pain for a long time and we needed a referral to a good orthopedic surgeon. When we arrive we were told the Dr.Pennington was not seeing patients that day and were handed a prescription for more pain meds. No apologies from staff as to why we were contacted about no being able to be seen until one was demanded from me. We were given an appointment almost a month away from that day. Although the gentleman at the front was pleasant, I find that the way they handled this was very unprofessional. We did not go there for the meds, we wanted answers as to why my Mom is in pain. We left very upset and unhappy.
