Dr. Mack was rude and basically called my daughter a liar! He did nothing to help her not even testing! He told us parents to be quiet and would not listen to a thing we had to say even when my daughter could not answer questions and was looking at us for help!

Great experience with Dr. Mack. He was very knowledgeable and compassionate with my 15yr experiencing seizures. Dr. Mack even called us personally to share test results prior to our appt. later that day.

Has absolutely NO social skills what-so-ever. I have never been so disappointed with a Dr in my life. He made eye contact with us maybe twice in the 2 days we were there. He might be an extremely smart man and knows what he is talking about in some cases but for someone to be a Dr, especially at Mayo clinic, you should be hired not only on education/experience but SOCIAL skills of some sort. Have a little compassion for children who live with daily chronic pain daily.

Came from Texas and all he had to say was good luck ! Not even a hand shake for not even trying to take in what we said . The morning we were there , he looked fustrated and like he was in a hurry . I think the Mayo Clinic has a good reputation but doctors like him bring it down . He almost acted like he didnt want to be there . It's just like we read, my sons symptoms of IIH are very real , his test show. Sounded like he had better things to do than mess with us . Didnt even order any testing of his own ! I would seriously consider someone else ! He's a headache doctor and that's it . He'll tell u to get more sleep and to work thru their 17 day program . Still doesnt fix the pressures in my sons head . He's had lumbar punctures of up to 31 and stays around the 26-28 range and he says that's normal . I've read and have done research that this is not normal . Good luck to anyone suffering from this .

My 11 year old daughter had been experiencing severe headaches with back pain for over a year. Her pediatrician recommended seeing a orthopedist and neurologist. She waited four months for the appointment in hopes that she would finally get relief. First the orthopedist made us wait two hours. His exam was flawed and very brief. He didn't care what my daughter had to say about her pain. He dismissed her and said there was nothing wrong. He couldn't give us an explanation of why she was in so much pain! She had a follow up appointment later in the day with Dr. Mack, waiting 1.5 hrs to see him. He came into the room and announced that he had spoken to the dr that she had seen earlier in the day and they decided that there was nothing wrong with her. Just like that without even examining her or being open to other tests. He did say that if she was in that much pain he could give her amitripyline! We went for a 2nd opinion and her condition was greatly improved by physical therapy.
