I had a blood clot in my armpit that had been misdiagnosed as an infection for a week and Dr. Wiebe figured it out right away. He saw me in the ER, looked at my swollen arm, and guessed it right away. He very likely saved my life that night. I can't even begin to thank Dr Wiebe enough.

Diagnosed my daughter with meningitis. Had the diagnosis within 1 min of walking into the room. Had the nurses running for antibiotics immediately. The specialists that came later took hours to figure out the same diagnosis

I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Wiebe. I saw him in the ER recently and he was the doctor there , was clearly very busy, but managed to remain personable and seemed to be doing his best for every patient despite the obvious backlog. I had met him previously in his private cosmetic practice (i LOVED the job he did on my lips!) , and really liked him but I am even more impressed after my ER experience. Highly Recommend.

Very thorough and compassionate ER doctor. Probably the most down to earth one I have met. Wish he had a family practice - when I asked him he said he has been asked so many times he thinks someday he may open one - I’ll be number one on the list

Dr Wiebe is a great doctor! It is hard to come across a doctor that listens and talk to you, not at you. He actually takes time to listen to your problem even though the walk-in clinic is super busy and somehow manages to make you feel like you and your health concern matter. He was also grrat with my 7 yo daughter. Great bedside manner. Very thorough and professional, yet very friendly and personable. Listened to ALL my thoughts with interest, answered all my questions patiently, explained plan of actions and ordered necessary labs and referrals. I will keep coming back to the viva care clinic because this good doctor works there.

I have several children who have required emergency care at CGH on multiple occasions. Out of the doctors there I feel like Dr. Wiebe is the best. He’s cheerful, calm, quick and efficient, and makes his decisions rapidly about what needs to be done, without ordering unessecary tests. If i have to go back there with any of my kids or myself, I hope he is on.

When he finally got around to seeing my mother, who suffers from dementia, he spent under a minute diagnosing her bleeding skin condition. No full history was taken, he didn't ask what meds she was on, and then shushed me the primary caregiver when I spoke. He prescribed a medication that I was told by the pharmacist didn't actually exist. I then had to return to the ER a second time for him to re-evaluate his medication choice. The ER Manger refused to speak with me, as did the Chilliwack General Hospital Site Medical Director. I cannot recommend this person in good faith.

Saw Dr Wiebe in the ER recently. I know he was super busy that night, but he still managed to make me feel like I mattered, he listened to my concerns and didn’t just blow me off. He seemed to have genuine concern for his patients. One of the best ER docs in my opinion 👍
