I don't even know where to begin. One of the forms I had to fill out had Endocrinology misspelled. First sign of doom. BP taken with a very old and beat up cuff that she had to take the gauge and bulb from another cuff because they won't buy another cuff. Intern took my history. I've taken more personable online surveys. Doctor immediately started pushing his weight loss crap on me. We didn't talk about my NOT UNDER CONTROL DIABETES! He wanted me to take some autonomic nervous system test. The test guy went to see if it was covered by insurance. He came back and said that it "probably" was. I told him, upon reviewing the literature, that I was sure it wouldn't be. NO WAY it was medically necessary for my diabetes. So, as is my right, I refused the test. Went back up front to schedule a follow up. Another doctor there or the doctor's wife, not sure, was YELLING at the front desk person at the front desk about having to talk to a patient on the phone.I left. I will NOT EVER go back!!!!

Dr. Rizvi is a very nice man and seems concerned about your problems but gives unecessary medications. Wait time is well over 2 hours. Much too long. Too many patients at one time. Staff does not inform you if you need a referral until your appointment and then can't take you.

I wonder if being on Medicaid has it's downs??!! The waiting area is like a zoo, looks like they book patients all at once. I understand that interns are there to learn, but she forgot to take my vitals when she said she would! Dr. Rizvi, although calm, promoted his weight management program instead of focusing on my current problem that I had! Really???!! This is shouldn't be a sales pitch!

From the beginning of my call to the visit. This was the WORST doctor's office visit I have been to.I had to call a few times to get in touch with them&when I finally got a hold it was their answering service(a machine)! They took at least a wk to call back,I must have spoke once to a human voice after trying for so long.Thn came my visit,I walked into the place&it looked like a zoo,it looks like they booked so many pts at the same time!I checked in with the receptionist Caitlin, who I must admit with all the chaos of this doc's office, was extremely patient&sweet! She was the ONLY 1 who was professional.I required a referral for my visit&it took the coordinator(Uzma)2 hrs to let me know they are trying to reach my PCP.But that's only after I inquired why is it taking so long!2 hrs later I get in&wait for another 1/2 hr to be greeted by an incompetent intern (who just finished clearing her exams)!I am all for learning but she won't make a good doctor.

Staff does not return phone calls to schedule appointments. He was always trying to give me additional medications, some of which would cause an interaction with medication I was already taking. Appointment times were not kept even remotely. There were always interns taking my history. I know they need to learn but EVERY appointment? And I was never given an option to not participate.

Dr. Rizvi is a very patient, extremely knowledgeable and kind doctor who spends a lot of time with his patients. He also teaches at UMDNJ (a medical school in NJ) so he's stays current with the latest research. He doesn't leave any stone unturned, either. Staff is kind and helpful, too. I would highly recommend him!
