I didn't have a positive experience. It was just like - "you are disabled," - that's that. Another doctor helped me move forward on the functionality scale. And I've stayed there - and I'm under a different provider care.

Dr. Levine was nasty, impatient, ignorant, and completely discouraging. I am surprised she still has a medical license and in practice. Waited months for an appointment years ago because I live with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and she got overwhelmed by my simple summary of my disease and told me "I was too sick and would not get better. She was heartless and mean. Luckily, I found a wonderful, compassionate, competent doctor who helped me regain more of my health. Do not waste your energy and time with her.

Dr. Levine honestly seems to struggle with what seems to be mental health issues. She is wildly disorganized but on top of that she oscillates between incredibly nice and extremely nasty. Having her as a doctor was one of the more stressful experiences of my health care And certainly didn't help me get better. She wasted months of my time not getting back to me and not responding to appointment requests and doing so in the most inhospitable way..

Dr. Levine appeared to be a godsend in the beginning of my treatment with her. However, she devolved into a nasty, unreachable individual who consistently scheduled then ignored telehealth visits keeping me waiting for hours without any response. She arranged to review lab results then she said she didn’t have them. The culmination of her erratic treatment was the following : ” WE’RE NOT DOING THIS ANYMORE…REMEMBER???? Get someone else”…..

Dr Levine has been dedicating her practice to CFS for many years. I am grateful I was referred to her by word of mouth when I first became i’ll. She is amazing

I stumbled upon this page looking for an allergist. After reading the reviews here I was stunned that Levine is still practicing and still denying lyme, co-infections, various viruses and pathogens in patients. I saw her years ago but apparently nothing has changed.
I was seriously ill and left her practice far far worse. Regrettable in every way, waste of money, useless IVs, it's just a factory that reels in money. Do No Harm does not exist here. Find yourself a doctor who is interested in healing you, not one that is financing their summer home at the expense of your life.
And you might want to check out the CFS diagnosis she dumps everyone into because it's more than likely you have a tick borne infection- which she will navigate away from to keep her practice going.
CFS can be a symptom of a lyme infection, generally not the source of your illness.
When her useless CFS treatments wear out and your health fails, this is why.
Levine should have her license revoked as this is really really dangerous.

Sadly, in first visit 1-2 yrs ago she was fantastic but sadly since then it has been downhill all the way. I attempted to follow up with her via email, televisit - anyway that she would prefer, to no avail. She has made televisit appts with me, kept me waiting by the phone for 4-5 hours, and then stood me up. It’s a shame because she seems SO knowledgeable about ME, more than anyone else in NY, and so personable in first and only visit but there’s something terribly wrong.

This doctor does not substitute for a PCP, and does not seem to be interested in the overall health or well being of her patients. If you are looking for options as an adjunct for CFS issues to your regular PCP care, she may have something to offer...but do not rely on her for anything more. There is no follow-up, do way to reach her, and she is far too overloaded to deliver good quality care to anyone at this point.

Avoid like The Bubonic Plague....I honestly have no clue what is wrong with this woman. I'm mystified and baffled.

"Dr. Levine,

I'm trying desperately to engage you for some help with this EBV thing. Desperately.

For whatever reason (perhaps you're just too busy) you're making it literally impossible to work with you. Are you running this practice by yourself? It feels as if this might be the case. I'm dealing with a complex medical situation and trying my best to keep my head above water.

I don't want anything for free. I've offered to make tele-health appointments. Look through our correspondence and tell me honestly, is this what I should expect?

As a former business owner with 50 employees, I'm just shaking my head.

I'm guessing you don't want me as a patient?

Duly noted.

Dr Levine..."I’m having trouble getting paid by your insurance they keep rejecting claims saying it’s an injury I’m overloaded don’t think I can help sorry."

My reponse:

"I just spent an hour on the phone with United Health Care.

Despite you lack of service and stringing me along, I think providers should get paid. I believe I first engaged you in December of 2020? At some point you told me you were not getting paid because you were "out of network" with United Health Care, which is not what I was told when I made my initial appointment. In any case, you filed 5 claims with United since January 8th of 2021.

United for whatever moronic reason classified these claims as a "worker's Comp claim." This is incorrect, but now it is corrected. Your claims will be reprocessed and paid in accordance with my out of network benefits, which would be 70% of $400.00. By the way, we never had 5 telehealth visits or 5 phone calls. So...I'm curious as to where you came up with 5 claims? I suppose if answering my emails constitutes an office visit, then so be it.

Back to the original situation, do you think it's professional to waste a patient's time? You have been stringing me along for weeks. You have a mouth, I suggest you learn to use it. If you had communicated to me, this would have been fixed already.

I went into this with you knowing your service is erratic, and that is on your best day. Another example of our botched medical system.

Here is your reference number:
