Dr. Mawashi is the best dentist in Owen Sound. He is a caring professional and has a wonderful team; they always look after my family and me. I can't recommend Dr. Mawashi and his dental team highly enough!

My daughter recently had her very first fillings. Being only 8 she was very nervous and didn't know what to expect. Dr. Mawashi took his time and explained everything and took the time to answer all her questions. She said it was painless and left with a smile! He is fantastic with kids!

I've been a patient of Dr. Mawashi's practice for quite some time and have always had very good experiences. I recently completed invisalign treatment with Dr. Mawashi and it went really smoothly. I felt that Dr. Mawashi and the staff listened carefully and were very responsive to all my questions and concerns. I was treated as an important member of the team. The office staff are lovely to deal with and very responsive to patient needs. Would definitely recommend this practice!

I saw Dr. Mawashi for a second opinion. I had been told I had a ‘catastophic’ crack in my tooth by another dentist and I was booked for an immediate extraction, that was going to be ‘extremely difficult’, and I was told I needed an implant. No other option.
I made an appointment with Dr. Mawashi and was immediately put at ease by his friendly, caring and knowledgeable staff. He agreed that my tooth needed to be extracted, but said I could wait and see about an implant. He was confident and if he was worried about the extraction being difficult, he never let on. I didn’t feel the freezing, and I didn’t have any idea that my root canaled tooth had shattered because of the break, and thst the roots had also split. Everything was removed (proven by X-ray), it cost me half as much as the estimate I was given at the other office, and that night I went out for dinner with visiting family.
I trust this Dentist.

My experience had been fairly good until my last visit. A new female dentist joined the practice and did my exam. She found and very quickly fixed a small cavity which completely fell out 4 days later. It was a weekend, so the office voice mail directed me to the "Emergency doctor on duty" at another clinic. I could not return to Dr Mawashi's office since I was leaving early on Monday fora four-month visit to the US. That dentist spent 3 times as long fixing the cavity but did it well. The truly maddening thing is that Mawashi's office never responded to two requests for a refund. My insurance would not pay for the repair since they only cover one filling in any one tooth within a 12-month period. I'm stuck with $166 for a filling that lasted 4 days. Even professionals have to stand behind their services, so I'll be looking for another dentist.

Daughter had 4 fillings done in less than 10 minutes. No freezing. Full charges for all fillings. Office girl said because he was so good he could work faster. Left his practice for another. Found out that he just covered cavities and our new dentist had to repair them properly. Do not recommend Dr.Mawashi.

Said I had 12 cavities, when I have never had any in the past. My current dentist confirmed if I did have any cavities they were very, very tiny and possibly not necessary to fix. One of the cavities was on my front tooth and now they on even more uneven because he grinded away part of the tooth and the filling/cap will not stay for longer than a month. He Insulted my smile and told me I should get my teeth fixed because they are not straight. This guy is a wanna be business man, looking to take your insurance company for a ride taking every penny he can squeeze out of a patient. He is a very bad, uncaring dentist with a horrible bedside manner. Stay away.

Dr. Mawashi was horrible. The tone of voice and choice in comments I found very disrespectful. He was very negative and I found very impatient. I also found him very stuck up. horrible experience with him and will never go back and will also never referrer him to anyone.

Dr. Mawashi is AMAZING! He was very thorough and very caring. He listens carefully to all of my concerns regarding procedures and answers all questions. The dental office staff are very friendly and efficient. I am excited to go in for my next cleaning appointment in six months!

Screwed up my cap and post, now I look like a beaver missing a half a front tooth. Worse, because of his error, tried to shave my good teeth down to make up for the tooth that was made too big. I tried pointing it out and he used the staff to apply pressure tactics on me to accept the outcome. What a disappointment. Now I am in search of a "real " dentist.
