Dr. D
Sapir is a great doctor. Quite knowledgeable. Thank goodness his "assistant" Andrea has flown the coop. Nasty woman and frankly I'm not sure how she lasted so long working there. Useless woman and didn't do much in the way of being an "assistant"!!!!!

I’ve been seeing dr sapir for 6 months for now and he has been great so far, no complains. He takes the time to explain and answer all the questions I had. As others I had lots of problems with Andrea (admin staff) I waited for over 3months for a CT only to learn that she did not sent anything although she said she did and to stop calling the office. The new admin Mary is awesome! I had talk many times with her and she is always responsive and attentive to my needs and is a great bridge for getting the right communication either with dr Sapir or with the hospital.

Dr. Sapir is an excellent doctor. I absolutely rate him 5 stars - knowledgeable, answered all our questions and we learned so much from him that we were not aware of. He did take his time with us and we did not feel rushed at all. Very happy that my Endocrinologist recommended me to see Dr. Sapir. Waited approx. 4 months to get an appointment with Dr. Sapir and it certainly was worth the wait. As for Andrea his secretary/assistant/receptionist she was not friendly at all and she was snappy as well and everyone in the waiting room looked and said what is the matter with her - she flew off the handle for no reason and no one provoked her for her to give this kind of conduct. I would not even attempt to rate her at a 2 star.
Thank you Dr. Sapir for seeing me and following me through with my medical problems.

Please start reporting this incompetence to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Dr. Sapir is well aware of Andrea's incompetence and continues to do nothing about it. Nothing is going to change unless we get higher-ups involved and demand accountability. Andrea's incompetence has been having a terrible impact on all of us for years now. Enough is enough.

The receptionist was supposed to send me my paperwork/forms and I was told to wait for it to get it by mail. I waited a month nothing came and when I called she acted like this is the first she had heard of it and I decided to drive to the office to pick it up.
When I had my info appointment I had to change the phone number and called the office several times leaving messages but no one ever picked up and the message was not passed on.

Dr. Sapir is great, but Andrea (receptionist) is rude and incompetent. Patients, please report Andrea's incompetence to Dr. Sapir. TIP: Call Oakville Trafalgar Hospital and ask for Dr. Sapir... Andrea actually answers the phone this way because it shows up as the hospital calling (she screens patient calls and doesn't answer them... She is the worst!).

I was a patient of dr. Sapir for more than 5 years. I am a very patient person and I was ok to wait 2 hours in the office for a visit, it got to the point that I can't take it anymore. 6 months ago I had a visit, doctor called, he didn't have all my latest tests, they got lost somehow, he said they will call me back to discuss the results, they didn't. I had to wait 6 more months for another visit that was in March, the receptionist called changed to May. In May I was waiting all day for the doctor to call, he apparently called after 5 hours, I can't be on my phone all day and I missed that call. On the next day I was talking with receptionist she said she does not have appointment for me, she will call back, of course she didn't call. After few days she finally picked it up when I called and now she wants to give me another appointment in few months, this is ridiculous. The office and Dr. Sapir are not reliable, they are not competent. Read other comments and just save yourself the stress. The receptionist, does not pick up the phone, good luck calling the office, good luck getting a visit. This is just a nightmare.

Dr. Sapir is a very knowledgeable, passionate, and personable doctor. Unfortunately I am about to find a different nephrologist entirely because of his horrible admin staff. I have not been able to get in touch with their office for over a year - they don't answer the phone, call back when you leave a voice mail, nor respond to faxes. It's completely unacceptable to make chronically ill people fight a battle every time we need medical care. I am unable to get an appointment or any of the tests I need because of the lack of communication. A good doctor is worthless if you can't get an appointment to see them.

Dr. Sapir's receptionist is truly one of the most challenging people I have ever encountered; not only in my medical journey but also in my professional and personal life. It is next to impossible to get a hold of her, and when you finally do, she is extremely unkind, dismissive and rude. After months of unanswered calls and messages, I physically drove to the office (I live over an hour away) to speak with her, as I needed requisitions for the ongoing management of my kidney disease. When I asked how best to reach her moving forward, given the existing challenges, she told "to keep calling and hope [she] answers, as [she] doesn't use e-mail nor check messages regularly". I attempted to explain that calling repeatedly is not possible (I work in an acute care setting), and is also likely annoying to her, however she did not give me any alternative solution.

I understand that people have bad days (and the pandemic has only intensified that--I truly do empathize), however as someone who works in the medical field, it is so disheartening and disappointing to be treated so poorly and unprofessionally. It is a shame as Dr. Sapir is always responsive when I contact him directly to kindly ask him to follow-up on outstanding reqs or appointments, however this shouldn't be necessary as he is very busy and prioritizing urgent patient needs.

I will say I have never left a review for any doctor, but after dealing with this receptionist for many years now, I felt obligated to share my concerns (which appear to be experienced by many unfortunately) in hopes of some sort of action.
