I love Dr. Nancy Chu, kind, sweet and on top of my care. My problem is her staff. The girl at the front desk is not very welcoming and will not even speak unless you ask a question. When I have to pick up a RX, I give name etc and unless I say anything further she is very quiet. Have placed several calls to inquire about a problem with LabCorp billing me they said "Well we have not been able to reach her billing department so you are responsible for the whole thing. " I am so very frustrated as I have been also playing telephone tag with her billing department and hours/days later I have just left message after message. Dr. Chu is great but staff leaves something to be desired.

Wow I'm surprised Dr. chu doesn't have more reviews and good reviews at that. At first I wasnt a fan of Dr. chu because she just seemed too nice. Haha I know that seems weird but to mean too nice sometimes means they're hiding something. I like somewhat of a "tough love" kind of doctor so this "very nice" doctor had me confused. I gave her a few visits and she really started to let me see that her being caring was very sincere. She would call and check up on me when sick, and also after a surgery that I had. She would ask questions and make suRe all of my questions were answered without me feeling rushed. And also I could actually call her office and get a refill on my medicine without needing to go into her office every single time. That was very important for me because to me unless it's a new health problem if it's underlying why should someone always have to go into the office. It becomes an inconvience. So I have to say I'm shocked by these other reviews I see on here. My guess is they didn't give her a chance like I almost didn't give her a chance. After the 4th visit to see her I saw how wonderful, caring, and empathetic she was. Unfortunately I switched health insurance and she doesn't accept my new health insurance so I have to find a new doctor. But I want to say thank you dr Chu for always being there when I needed you and thank you for being "too nice".

I had an appt today at 9:45. Got there 25 minutes early to update address and insurance info. No response from staff so at 10am I verified that I had an appt. receptionist, without looking at me asked what time my appt was for. I told her the time and she said the dr. Was running a little late. I asked how late and she said half an hour. At 10:25 nobody had even indicated it would be longer or had me update my info while I waited so I just got up and left. That was the most unprofessional front office I have ever experienced. So I went home and changed my PCP

Dr. Chu has a great personality and is generally helpful. I had moved into the area and started With Dr. Chu. One of the reasons I visit a doctor is for a bad sinus condition. My previous doctor gave me a kenalog shot and it would clear it up for about 6 months. When I asked Dr. Chu for a shot she said no because it didn't last long enough. WHAT!!! You have the cure but you don't use it because it doesn't last long enough. What kind of doctoring is that? Also, there is an insurance problem. Although they accept Aetna, they are not an "In Network" provided for the Medicare Advantage Plan I have. I asked the person that handles insurance claims if; since they accept Aetna could they please become an in network provider so I pay less. Her response was that the plan had I high deductible and they weren't interested. I don't understand, I'm responsible for the deductible but now I have to pay even more!!!!
