I was seeing dr. Lewerenz for 25 years before we left for Florida. I found him to be excellent doctor with personality and knowledge. I would definitely recommend him.

HE IS TERRIBLE!! My dad has been going to him for about 10 years and his dad went to his dad! He was always good to both of them but now he has switched up. He isn't on time, only goes to the Madison Heights office once a week. If you have a problem that you go to him with he will only push down nature stuff down your throat. Which is all well and good, but when you look at the cost, and it take OVER 3 months for them to actually help you, you are out hundreds of dollars while suffering in the process! Not to mention the whole staff except one person is rude and nasty. They don't enjoy what they do, but they show it and take it out on patients. We will be leaving his practice which is a shame, but we will not continue to go through the disrespect. Avoid at all costs.

The Staff is simply inconsiderate especially Mary with her Grey roots that show very unprofessional. I feel like i should see the doctor when I go in and they throw you with the T.A. and although she is nice there is not a bit of knowledge in her head about natural health care. Results for tests are given during the follow up visit 2 months later. Some alternative choices are Dr. Brownstein in W. Bloomfield much better more professional.

I'm going to start with punctual, 3. Most times I don't wait over 15 minutes. But when you do get called to go back, staff is not friendly at all and makes me feel like she'd rather be getting teeth pulled (both girls). Helpfulness also a 3. I am very happy with trying natural meds before any other treatments, but when they end up not helping, I expect my doctor help me control pain with actual medication. Especîally after surgery he recommended was a flop and made it worse. I also feel the natural meds are PUSHED on you. Knowledgeable a 4. Dr. L and and the new doctor Tina, do whatever it takes to find out what's going on with you. Now the staff! The staff has changed. I loved the old staff. The new girl at the front of the office when you sign in is very rude. I always made payments on my bill. She tries forcing full payment EVERYTIME! When I call she says she's busy signing someone in, unorganized, and seems to just care less. The "checkout girl" is AMAZING! Ready to change docs.

Dr Lewerenz is the worst! I took my three children in to establish a relationship with him. He ordered a bunch of blood work at which point my husband & I said we'd prefer not to have that much blood work done as it would be out of pocket for us. He stated there would be no cost outside of his office visits as all blood work was done "in house". Received the blood work 6 WEEKS later and was not able to speak with him about it unless we paid $380 to go back into his office or he would do a phone consult BUT charge me 3 times since we were discussing all three children's results. We also just received a hefty $900 Quest Lab bill.... apparently he has no idea what goes on in his office as blood work IS SENT OUT! I've called his office 4 TIMES to speak with the office manager or the doctor and still no return calls. I'm VERY disappointed.

After living most of my life in the hands of the medical world, dr Lewerenz is a breath of fresh air. At some point, the patient needs to be responsible for their lifestyle. You definitely need to be a team player and do your best.

The guy simply did not show up.I was introduced to a guy just out of school(one year experience),who wasn't even a doctor (he admitted he's just a nurse practitioner)They must have run this scam so many times that the guy didn't even try to cover like Dr is out of town or something.I walked away.At least before the visit they wanted to make sure I got the rule right 245 $ out of pocket that would buy me 45 minutes with the doctor. You have been warned !Cheers !

Top class doctor who treats both medically and with scientifically proven natural ways ... you get the best of both worlds! So glad I found this doctor, and his assistant, Karen, is so-ooo knowledgeable, too! So rare and refreshing to find a doctor who will try to take care of things the natural way, first, which makes him special and unique. Very hard to find this kind of doctor, what a relief to me! He really helped and all his patients I talked to in the waiting room (the wait can sometimes be long, but worth is) all seem to love his methods, too - I wish more doctors were like him, instead of being so narrow-minded; can't say enough good things about his ways of treatments, he really emphasizes health instead of illness, and gets to the cause instead of merely treating symptoms!
