My experience with Dr. Ransom was stellar. She explained the surgical procedure clearly, thoroughly answering all my questions. I had 100% trust in her before, during and after the procedure. Her calm, assured manner, her attention to detail, her precise explanations and her expert medical knowledge helped to calm my fears. I would highly recommend her to any woman seeking a highly skilled, caring, expert OBGYN.

She is knowledgeable but when push comes to shove I don't enjoy her speaking medical jargon--- use lamens terms. Also, she never came back in the room after I got dressed like she said she would twice. I don't know what results she is going to be looking for versus what results are going to mean. I am going to ask for a referral because I don't think she knows how to communicate when she isn't sure what's going on. I took health class in high school, I know what parts of my body are where, and I know when something's wrong. Don't refer me to physical therapy for cramping :/

Seriously? We wait for all sorts of things and never have a second thought. The things we wait for the longest are the good things in life. And excellent quality, professional, care is worth waiting for. I would rather wait an hour to see Dr. Ransom than not. Because I know she is going to give me the same attention she just gave the patient she just saw before me. But most importantly I am willing to wait because her knowledge and understanding of women's health issues is superior. Now isn't that worth the wait.

It makes me sad seeing all these negative comment about dr ransom! She is absolutely the best dr I've ever had!! She makes me feel at home each time I'm there! Yes she's a little slow but she's extremely busy! She has helped me a lot with my polycystic ovaries!

I can't believe all of the negative review Dr. Ransom has received. It makes me think there must be a smear campaign out against her! Dr. Ransom has been nothing but patient, attentive and knowledgable the entire time she has been my doctor.

Like others said, very late, very unconcerned and her staff is HORRIBLE. I was going through a miscarriage (which was very traumatizing as this a baby that was so wanted) and not sure at first which direction the pregnancy was going in, I had to get betas drawn. I asked when I would have the results, and the staff said a few days to a week? Ummm, really? When they phone the results in within 15 minutes? They were also every rude about getting me scheduled for appointments so I went elsewhere and guess what? I got beta results within one hour of getting them drawn, and an appointment within a week. Imagine THAT!!

I went in to Dr. Ransom about a year ago for pain that I had in my stomach. She had me get an ultrasound done and when I called for the results I was told nothing showed up. 9 months later the pain had worsen and she really blew me off and gave me birth control pills. A friend and I went to the hospital to get my ultrasound record and it showed that I have mutiable cysts on both overies and the biggest cyst that I have in on the side that I've been complaining about for almost 2yrs now. Not once did Dr.Ransom EVER tell me that I had cysts. I would not recomend her to anyone.

I have to many negative things to say. Dr. Ransom did a procedure called Essure to permanantly make me sterile. She pressured me into having that precise procedure done. After 2 years, I hemoraged one of the coils, that she told me was medically impossible to come out by itself. She told me she would contact the company Essure to find out what they would do about their "faulty" product. I have had 2 appointments, and have made phone calls to her and she has still failed to represent my best interest as her patient. She claims she hasn't had the time to call Essure. It has been 175 days since the implanted coil was hemoraged out. How could anyone trust that she will do what she promises? DO NOT LET HER TAKE CARE OF YOU! Her resolution was, "well maybe your husband should go get fixed!!!" I guess she is doesn't believe in her self to do what she is lisenced to do.

Dr. Ransom is the worst Dr. Ive ever seen, She was 3 hrs. late. twice also She did not even make any eye contact. She gave me some printed papers and rushed me out the door. I felt like I was at Cook County in Chicago. She has no kind of people skills. Also she was very rude.
