Dr. Bottum has a track record of misdiagnosing patients. Some of these misdiagnoses have been life threatening. He's misdiagnosed me, and my immediate and distant relatives. I've heard horror stories of other people in the area who have been misdiagnosed (like a stroke victim who died as a result). Talk to anyone in Haliburton and I'm sure they'll know someone who has suffered at his hands.
If he's in the ER and I have an emergency I actively choose to drive to Lindsay, Orillia, or Peterborough just to avoid him. I'm not putting my life in the hands of a man who can't do his job and puts his patients at risk.

Both my wife and myself have been patients of Dr Bottum for approximately the last 8 years. One of the finest family physicians we've had. Very attentive, thorough and follows up. Feel very fortunate to have him as our family physician.

I make appointments for my mother in the clinic….. good luck Making appointments is a challenge with the secretaries, seems like she seems someone different too often so her own doctor doesn’t really know what’s happening. Not ideal

mmm thought he was a good dr till our 11 yr old daughter wanted to see a female dr and they wouldn't let us switch so dropped them altogether and went to Lindsay

Dr bottom is a good doctor, but is difficult to talk too His secretary make it very hard to get an appointment too- very maddening
