Horrible Doctors here, (Dr. Edward Mah). He scammed my son multiple times with the retainers. He’s not responsible. For the last appointment that I had for my son, he didn’t want to see my son. Shame on him. Don’t go here.

Amazing and helpful. I have been going to Dr. Mah's office for more then four years. He has made my teeth straight and beautiful - Cristina has always been been so helpful and accommodating- She is always willing to go above and beyond to assist and so is the newer staff - Andrea and Dr. Mah is so kind and caring. The office is super clean and warm and welcoming. I go for check ups every now and then - and I always look forward to my visit ! Thank you team Mah !!!

Dr. Mah and his staff are amazing! Some of the best out there for sure, and very nice. My appointments have always been on time and in many cases, I've arrived early and was able to start the appointment early. That never happens to me with other doctors. My teeth are now straight and I have nothing but smiles about this ortho practice.

When mom contacted my office to obtain an Initial Exam she was told prior to even scheduling the appointment that there is a $75 fee. Mom agreed and therefore, an appointment was scheduled for her daughter on January 28, 2016 at 2:00pm. At approximately 12:00pm, only 2 hours prior to her daughter's appointment, mom called wanting to cancel the appointment. Mom was told that there will be a cancellation fee and hence, she decided to keep the appointment. Mom also asked my receptionist for the cost of braces and Invisalign. As with most, if not all, dentist and dental specialists, fees are never provided over the phone because a comprehensive exam must be undertaken to evaluate the patient's teeth, occlusion, TMJ, gingiva, etc. in order to provide an accurate and detailed treatment plan and fee. Contrary to mom's statement, we did not state that it is against the law to provide pricing on the phone. My receptionist and I both advised mom and patient to return to their previous orthodontist for treatment as there was a history already between them and the treatment fee will most likely be less expensive than switching to a new orthodontist. Every dental specialist has their own fees and I highly doubt mom was quoted $2500 for Invisalign as the orthodontist would actually lose money for treating the patient, which is absurd. My receptionist was being extremely patient with mom, once again explaining to mom the reason why I need to examine patient’s in order to provide treatment recommendations and fees. Mom stated that she did not see the value in paying for the Initial Exam fee despite the fact that my staff and I spent over one hour with her and her daughter. We took photographs, provided them a copy of the photographs, performed a thorough orthodontic exam, reviewed the photographs with them, provided treatment recommendations and options, answered ALL of their questions and provided insurance information on how to get reimbursed. My receptionist even asked mom and daughter if they felt they received useful and beneficial information from today’s appointment and if their questions were answered, and they both undeniably stated “yes”. The discussion between my reception and mom was going nowhere and therefore, my receptionist stood up, but not abruptly, to let me know of mom’s concerns and to have me speak with her. By the time I was finished seeing another patient, mom and daughter had already left.
Several parents in the waiting room overheard mom’s ridiculous comments and remarks and they approached my receptionist afterwards to commend her on her composure, kindness, patience and professionalism in dealing with such a difficult person. This “quick buck” took over an hour of staff and doctor time. I ask you, when was the last time a dental specialist and his/her staff spent over an hour of clinic time performing all of the above mentioned procedures for $75? In the end, we kindly asked mom to bring her daughter to another orthodontic office to prevent further disruption to my office. I have the best patient’s and parent’s that any dental office can wish for and my staff is second to none. I hope this mom will find an orthodontic office that suits her needs. Her daughter, the patient, was very pleasant to deal with.

Jan 28, 2015 Dr Mah provided my son with professional orthodontic services. Therefore we contacted their office to quote an Invisilign for my daughter. When I called the office and spoke with Kristina their office manager,,she told me they could not quote over the phone and my Daughter would have to come in to the office for a $75 consult. I told her that we have a quote for approximately $2500 from her current orthodontist but had misplaced the quote and didn't have an exact amount. I was shocked and disappointed when Kristina presented me a quote of $8500+ for Invisilign at then end of the consult, after charging me a $75 fee. She then proceeded to tell me that it is against the law to give prices over the phone. I told her all she needed to say is that it would be significantly cheaper for me to stick with our current orthodontist. She then got defensive, abruptly stood up and said we needed to speak directly to Dr Mah. We had to leave at that point as my daughter was late for a study group. After giving Dr Mah years of business with my son, I was very unimpressed and very dissappointed in the unprofessional attitude. and the priority of the clinic to make a 'quick buck' over giving an honest opinion over the phone. Dr Mah is a pleasant knowledgeable doctor and its too bad the clinic is being run this way.

Nov. 10'15. Dr. Mah and Ms. Kristina provide exceptional care. Right when you arrive, Ms. Kristina attended to our son by providing him with an ipad to occupy himself; later she explained to him what was going happen to address any anxiety he had. When Dr. Mah explained the dental care that was needed, he spent a great deal of time to clearly convey the problem and what his recommend course of action was; we clearly came to understand everything. Immediately after (no waste of time), administrative support was provided by Ms. Kristina; it was very, very good; she explained what would follow and helped us complete all the paperwork; she is a very nice lady. My wife and I were a bit overwhelmed by the super service because we had been to a orthodontist in Metrotown and had a very negative experience. The experience with Dr. Mah's office was refreshing and amazing! Sincerely, Don and Renata Hamagami.

Dr. Mah has taken care of both of my daughter's braces. He is a friendly and down to earth doctor. We have had an effortless time with him. His rates are very reasonable and he is at the top of his profession. I am rather dismayed at some of the complaints here, mostly relating to his office staff. My experience with Kristina has been quite friendly, courteous and professional. I don't see what the problem is with some of these reviewers. Goes to show you that there's bellyaching every where you go. If you require a more glamorous experience, might I suggest you go to an orthodontist in Kits or downtown?? You'll be wowed by the state of the art office and the pricey parking rates...but you'll also pay through the nose for your children's braces. It's been over two years, my girls are about to get their braces off and we couldn't be happier!!!

This was our first time at an orthofontist. The receptionist Kristina made my girl feel comfortable as she was anxious being pulled from school. She offered her an iPad and showed her her puppy. Dr. Mah told us what he was going to do and was pleasant even though there seemed to be many patients streaming in and out. Even the patients were friendly, chit chatting and joking with the receptionist. All that was missing was drinks and big pot of pasta as it felt very much like a family here.

I am an adult who at age 40 ( finally) decided to get my teeth straightened. I chose Dr.Mah as his office is close to my workplace and my dentist referred me to him. I am now out of my braces ( it took less than 2 years) and could not be happier with the result. I only wish that I had done it sooner. Dr. Mah is friendly, punctual, and responded to any concerns that I had. Between visits I could email or call the office for assistance and they would promptly respond. The office staff are professional, and the treatment proceeded exactly as it was explained to me. I would have recommended Dr. Mah to my friends and co-workers.
