Doctor Young staff are the best! However, doctor young was condescending and insensitive! He made me feel bad about myself, my medical affliction instead of offering a solution and giving me a prescription. He did address one item but in the same breath he demeaned with a insulting question regarding that illness. He's just not a nice person. I guess he knows he's stuff, he has a research biz. The only reason I'm still with his office is because : 1) insurance don't allow for doctor shopping 2) I don't think I could take any more doctor disappointments! 3) He's staff are very good.

Dr Young displayed a characteristic arrogance (or unprofessionalism??)during my visit to his office. He walked out on me while I was still talking to him. Had he said or even showed me a sign that my time was up or another patient was waiting for him I would have understood. What really upset me was that this was the first time I opened up for him and showed helplessness. I felt like he stabbed me while I was down. I felt so disrespected. Very unprofessional.

All of my visits with Dr. Yong are pleasant and reasonable. I did wait for sometime (approx. 20-25 minutes) but I felt I was compensated with the time he takes with me and his thorough listening to me and explaining things. One of the things I appreciated about him was instead of pretending that he knew everything he sometimes looked things up. I am OK with that. Of course it is better if he knew everything but doctors simply don't. His staff messed up my referrals twice or so. But overall, I am happy with Dr. Young having seen quite a few doctors in Sacramento.

Personally, I don't feel comfortable visiting a physician when I can hear him broadcasting with staff in regards to his patients in the next waiting room and their current and mental state of health. Dr. Young is in violation with HIPA. I am applaud as a health professional and patient and will not be seeing Dr. Young as my primary physician.

Some of Dr. Douglas Young's staff can be incompetent. For instance, when you request a prescription, a staff member would drop the ball and you will find yourself calling the office again to remind them that you need the prescription filled. The staff either do not care or just incompetent.

I've made 2 appointments with Dr. Young all which were miserable experiences, Dr. Young is a minimum of 25 minutes late. However lateness aside, I felt Dr. Young to be unprofessional, while I was waiting to be seen by Dr. Young to over here him talk to his staff about the patient in the next room as he stepped out was disrespectful as he mock the patients curiosity. Does Dr. Young talk to his staff regarding his patients? And if so, where is the confidentiality in that?

Dr. Young is TERRIFIC! Other complain about his being late for appointments but that is because he takes his time with you and does not rush off. He will take the time to explain things and ask questions. I have TOTAL faith in him AND he is a very nice person! Anyone would be lucky to have Dr. Young for their doctor!

I have had several bad experience with Dr. Douglas Young. I was double billed for a physical to find out he in addition billed my insurance company. As a result I had to pay money out of pocket when I have full coverage insurance. Furthermore, I keep receiving bills from his office for my co pay which I paid prior to my visit, Dr. Young is arrogant, unprofessional and unethical. In addition his staff is untrained, unknowledgeable medical assistants who are unable to preform basic vitals.Do not, I repeat don not waste your time.

Dr. Douglas Young is an outstanding internist, who cares about his patients, takes time to determine their needs, gets them to talk about what is going on in their body. Dr. Young is my father's physician, & has been very good at exploring the multiple issues that needed to be addressed. He's helpful, responsive, informed, & genuinely caring. He encourages my father to consider his health an important priority, not just write off symptoms as part of "being elderly", does testing as appropriate, monitors & adjusts medications as needed. Dr. Young stays up to date on the rapid advances taking place in the medicine today. My father selected him & particularly likes having a physician who he knows stays current. Dr. Young has a very bright and caring medical assistant/phlebotomist & competent, helpful staff. He now has laboratory facility in the office, so that the blood draws may be done on-site. It's a valuable time saver, and importantly saves multiple trips to other facilities.
