In manner, he is kind and caring; fully present to you and your 'story', attentive, and focused; he listens deeply and respects and encourages your participation in the healing process and, ultimately, your choices. His watchfulness and quick, decisive actions saved me a leg amputation; treating the slow healing of my artery replacement, he went above and beyond in his diligent hands-on treatments. Dr Lui has been my Dr in BC for a few years. He is outstanding! Knowledgable, listens carefully, up-to-date in his knowledge and thorough. He handled my pregnancy with caring hands and I received compliments from pre-natal health professionals on his thoroughness and care pre-handover to my midwife group.
I recommend him and trust him with the care of my baby when we're 'handed back' to his care.

Dr. Lui does not take my concerns seriously and uses the government restrictions as part of a way to deter me from getting the help I need. He generalizes me health conditions because I am young

I have been "Screening" potential Family doctors in Vancouver and went through a handful over the past few months. And just when I started to seriously consider going to private practice instead as I was getting very tired of clock watchers and irritated with a business 1st approach that just makes you feel very disconnected from someone who is supposed to be trusted with your Body & Health. But as soon I met Dr. Lui, it was just a Breath of Fresh Air. He was involved and genuinely cared about my concerns (And reminded me of my Last GP in Calgary). He Also did not dismiss nor took lightly any of the issues I was concerned with, and addressed every single one of my concerns, and went in length to look at things, explain thoroughly, and not once I felt rushed or pushed to boom another appointment to discuss something that can be dealt with on the spot instead of 2-3 weeks later. He did not dismiss any of the points that I brought up. I sure hope this approach continues as I find that this city lacks compassion. I am very happy and grateful that I managed to register while new patients were accepted. I highly recommend the Dr. The clinic is clean, the staff is friendly, and The waiting times are very reasonable (Although I never complain about that, as I am sure if the Doctor is late, it's mostly because he was giving the previous patient(s) the needed time.
