I still can’t get over that my beloved Dr. Burns suddenly passed away. I am struggling . I hope I will be okay soon. My last appointment with you you promised you will thoroughly make sure you will get to the bottom of my pain . I am in pain as I type, I had a bolt of running stomach that you said is not good. I am screaming your name my doctor. I am mourning your death l.

You treated me with so much grace, checked inn with my children . My children are sad . One of them is going for help to overcome your sudden death. We haven’t told our youngest that you passed on … he adores you. He only eats veggies when we say doctor burns would like to hear you are eating greens / fruits etc… oooh my heart . I m very sad .

I pray for you to rest in perfect peace
I pray for your wife
I pray for your daughters and son

I think deeply about all your patients and your coworkers esp on that day Jan 6. I sure know they did everything they could.

My solace is that God need you home. He needed you to rest. He needing the best that there will be.

You called me my friend.

There will never be another like you. I've seen you from a stretcher wheeled into the clinic in a snowstorm from an ambulance. You inspired me to walk again, showing me that I could overcome. You saw my Dad though cancer with so much help and compassion. You were always there, always. My gratitude is beyond measure. I'm glad I had the chance to know you. You left your mark on our whole family. Feeling lost without my trusted doc. The BEST, hands down.

i am still in shock that you are gone you aare the best there will be no other doctor ever who will care like you do ,my daughter gave her baby boy your first name johnathon in honor and memory of a awsome doctor and friend i will miss you doc like i said you are the best there is, the best there was the best that will ever be no one can walk in doctor john burns shoes medical or other wise . you will be so missed by so many you have inpacted so many peoples lives with your kind heart you are what a real doctor should be like enough respect my friend see you up in heaven , thanks for being there always Debb

He was the best doctor ever. Didn’t hesitate to take my mom and 90 yr old dad when their doctor had moved. Didn’t hesitate to take me either when was asked by another patient. His service was worth the wait. He taught me a life lesson I will never forget and treasure forever. He was always so impressed that my dad, 94 now and still living in his own house, is still here, congestive heart failure, cancer and a broken hip, and still here and you are gone. Always asked about my dad and called him buddy. Always took us in without appt in emergency cases. Had cell phone number just in case. Who does that?? No doctor I have ever known. He was a diamond in the rough. The most amazing doctor anyone could have. This is a great loss to the community, his family, Co workers. He saved my life when I was 3 and been my doctor 28 years. So much love and respect for him. May you rest in peace ❤💔

Dr. Burns was the best doctor me and my family have ever had! He was so warm, friendly and caring and always took his time with us, never making us feel rushed or that we weren't important. He wasn't afraid to share his faith with us and that was so refreshing. He was more than a doctor as we considered him our friend! We love you Dr. Burns! Jim, Wendy and family.

Dr Burns saved my life in the ER when he diagnosed me with farmers pneumonia which other doctors could not diagnose. At the time I was looking for a doctor as my doctor had moved to Kelowna. Dr Burns didn't hesitate to take me as a patient. I was very grateful! You will be missed greatly.
