Dr. Kern was suggested by another doctor. The first time I saw him I waited over an hour past my appointment time. The second time I had to wait 45 minutes. He was even late for my surgery. During my first appointment he was not prepared with any of my paper work and had none of my ultrasound images. When he was with me during my appointments he was very short with his responses and gave little thought to my questions and quickly dismissed any concerns I had. Though skeptical because of the number of oddities in my case (miniscule size of mass, lack of growth, mass location), I went along with Dr. Kern's belief that it was best to remove my testicle. The mass turned out to be benign. I know this is the best possible situation, yet I wonder if surgery could have been avoided with more patience and observation. Kern seemed to have no interest in either. In addition, a nerve leading into my scrotum was severed during surgery. Dr. Kern said it will "probably" heal up in 2-3 months.

Dr. Kern did a radical prostatectomy on me in 2001. Still cancer free and have always been very, very happy with this great man. Thank You Again Dr. Kern.
