I presented myself at my Dr’s clinic in a full blown asthmatic attack. The receptionist got up & almost ran to warn Dr Lane, the Dr on call. When you walk in a clinic or hospital in breathing distress, the competent Dr will see you right away. Instead of seeing me right away, Dr Lane walked in another room & spent 15 minutes with another patient. I was huffing, puffing, coughing, spitting phlegm & was out of breath. I got up & was heading to my car to call 911. I had been using my asthma pumps for a week with little result. I just needed a boost of Ventolin to help me catch my breath & keep using my pumps. He categorically refused even when I explained how my family doctor of this clinic has been treating me for the past 35-40. I can barely catch my breath & he’s asking me so many questions & making my breathing worse. He said to go to the hospital to get Ventolin. Why should I go to the hospital when you have Ventolin on site. I’m 70 yrs old & have dealt with asthma all my life. A Dr who refuses to treat you should be reminded of the Hippocratic Oath. I’m in respiratory distress Dr & you won’t treat me !

I had this doctor for many years. I agree with other reviews on here that he is okay for minor things, but positively dangerous if you have anything serious. He can make assumptions about you imagining things or not knowing what you are talking about if you have anything a bit out of the ordinary going on, and he displays an alarming insouciance at times when you try to tell him about worrying symptoms you might be having. In my case, at one point I was having very worrying symptoms, which he kept dismissing as minor, and I had to insist quite a bit that he book me for additional testing. Once I had the testing done, it turned out I had a very serious ailment! And good luck getting any significant follow-up on your annual exams also. I eventually switched to another doctor and am so glad I did. Night and day difference.

Dr Lane was my family doctor for a few years. Nice guy and very affable. The big problem was it was impossible to see him! You'd call about something ailing you in, say, January, and they'd offer you an appointment in March! For immediate concerns, they recommended you come to his weekly walk in hours. This was one night a week (so hope you're sick that day) and I'd often arrive and get told they were full.

Wow! I cannot believe the comment dated May 1st, 2016! My heart goes out to you! I have had a similar experience.
This doctor was also my GP for a few years. When I got really sick and suffered intense pain for a long period of time, he ga ve me no care whatsoever. He left me hanging and assumed it was all in my head until a surgeon found the problem. I lived thru 2 major surgeries to correct the problems that were serious in nature. If it wasn't for the surgeon, I would probably not be here today. I think Dr Lane needs re-training on how to listen to his patients and not assume that they are making things up because their blood work is looking good.. He may be good with the common cold and cuts and bruises but he is not to be trusted with any serious ailments. I am finally getting better and it feels good to be able to share this with other patients that may find themselves left behind by their own family doctor.

This doctor was my GP for quite a few years until I got really sick and he did nothing for me!
He left me suffering without care and assuming things about me until a surgeon found what the problems was and took care of it. I do not have anything good to say about him.

My husband and I have been followed by Dr. Keith Lane for the last 10 years. He has always been helpful, very knowledgeable and at times have gone out of his way to accommodate us. He is not always on time with his patients but I believe that I want him to take the time I need to discuss a certain problem with him, I should accept that he does the same thing with other patients.
