Staff is terrible. Not sure if the doctor is aware or not but I've been trying to make an appointment for more than a month. The staff kept saying they need to verify my insurance even thoug my insurance talked to them directly that I am cover and dr. johnson is in my network. I even offer to pay cash if my insurance does not cover. They refused to make an appointment for me. Not sure they are racist or what.

Your office reps and scheduling team are awful. First time we had appointment and we came on time. 5 min before appointment I have been told doctor needs MRI and just cancelled my appointment. They never asked me for MRI before and even didn't order me for that. They setup another appointment there and despite my wish that requested to visit Dr Johndon , I received a text that my appointment is with another doctor 15 minafter. Again drove back to office and so frustrated why they lied me. With no apologies from them, I received a phone number to call. I called and after several times I got someone live on the phone and asked specifically to have appointment with Dr Johnson and no one else and lady did the same , after 2 months , right 2 days before my appointment I received a text as reminder but Dr name wasn't Dr Johnson. I called again and lady said aot of things except answering my question. And after a 15 minutesshe said Dr specifically said thatcam not accept me abdshe doesn't know the reason. I have had never seen Dr Johnson and any other Dr inthst building to be wait for 4 months, hearing lies several times.

Quite simply the WORST office (SCOS), managed by the WORST supporting staff...the consistently are UNtruthful, bald-face lie & provide, @ best, half-truths ALL in the futile attempt to capture as many LUCRATIVE senior-citizen-driven...Needed or NOT...SURGERIES from a very CAPTIVE audience in Laguna Woods (formerly Leisure World)....As well, a pathetic profit-driven group of vendors (SG Homecare...OrthoFix) that are really NO MORE than your garden-variety SNAKE OIL SALESMEN....potential future patients Everywhere...AT ALL COSTS STAY AWAY...Contact you IPA & get a 2nd opinion!...D. Liauw did me NO FAVOR referring me to SCOS!

You would get more information on condition of your car from your mechanic than your health from Bryce Johnson. No feedback or diagnosis after two weeks of my visit. He spent 5 minutes with me after waiting for over 1.30 hrs.

Made appointment with Dr. Bryce Johnson for consultation. After waiting for more than an hour, I was led into the x-ray room without seeing Doctor Bryce Johnson. I told them my appointment was made for consultation with Doctor Johnson. They demanded I take xray's or I would not be allowed to see Dr. Johnson, not even for consultation. I asked them to explain why xray my back when it wasn't bothering me and I only wanted to counsel with Dr Johnson. They told me to take the Xray's or I would have to leave. I was practically pushed out the door when I wouldn't allow xrays I didn't need. I couldn't believe how rude and uncaring I was treated. Money Grabbers, demanding xrays just so I could talk to the Doctor. This is a prime example of what's wrong with the Medical Business. SCOS is the name of this Orthopedic meat market.

I went to 2 different surgeons. Dr Johnson was punctual, very informative, and did not rush out the door like others described. He told me options, listened to my symptoms and pain rantings, offered suggestions and let me decide how to proceed. after picking, he made me feel good by saying he would have picked the same fix. I felt very comfortable and confident in his knowledge and skill. As for office manners, that is usually dictated by the insurance companies and number of patients waiting.

I found Bryce Johnson to have be rude and ignorant, totally incapable of even covering basic information and eager to argue with me. Did he really graduate from medical school?

I was referred to Dr. Johnson. After getting into the exam room I waited nearly 45 min to s= him. He greeted me asked me the symptoms. And said "my literature doesn't warrant surgery. I need a massage and left. It took no longer than 5 minutes. I've been in excruciating lumbar pain since Nov. He wrote off the questions I had for him. And seemed annoyed. I would never go to him again or recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Bryce Johnson to me is arrogant and not only concerned about making money. After spending 15 minutes on the phone with the scheduler explaining reason for visit. I get to the office and was told that my neck, shoulder and lower spine issues were three different issues and I would have to pick the worst pain today and make appointments for the other. He spent 5 minutes with me and gave me a physical therapy slip and sent me on my way with no suggestions of immediate pain relief. When I asked why I could not discuss my lower spine issue, he said it would take another appointment. His assistant said it was the way they bill insurance. Not sure if I got an honest answer from either and didn't get any relief from my pain. He is, in my opinion, the WORST doctor I have ever seen and I will not return.

Dr Johnson is a knowledgeable and efficient surgeon who is quick to diagnose and offers the least invasive, non-surgical, treatment options first. Fortunately I didn't need surgery yet but he got me back to a manageable level of mobility quickly. The oofice is very efficient, all digital and the reminder calls are appreciated. I would recommend Dr Johnson for back treatment.
