I had a very good experience with her. I went once and then didn't have to go back for about 4 years. On my return visit, she spent several minutes reading my chart during the appointment. She spends as much time as you need. She isn't one of those "shove them out the door" doctors. She also is a professor at a medical school in Boston. She is, as one reviewer mentioned, very conscious of how much waste there is in the healthcare system and won't order more than what she thinks is necessary. But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. Patients aren't always the best judge of what they need unless they have medical degrees. And there really IS a lot of excess testing and treatment going on in the healthcare world. It just shows me she's not driven by profit motive as so many others are. Just my opinion.

Her nurse took 6 weeks to schedule an MRI that another office was able to schedule for me in 1 week. Once the MRI was scheduled it was for a much smaller section of what we discussed. I explained why I felt that the more extensive MRI was needed, and she insisted that her diagnosis was correct, and was unwilling to give on being right. When I suggested that we needed to look at the whole problem since there are multiple symptoms and trigger points, she said I was wasting medical society's dollars. I was horrified and told her I would not be coming back to see her. After we hung up, she called another practitioner that I had seen previously, who, at her request, has provided his opinion of my issue to her in writing, and she screamed and yelled at him and accused him of brainwashing me into believing that her diagnosis was wrong. Incredibly unprofessional!
