I saw Dr Mease for the first time today. How lucky can I get, and I thank our dear Lord for making me drive all the way to Seattle from Gig Harbor, to meet him. He is a caring and thoughtful doctor, who LISTENS.... He spent considerable amount of time going over my records and my history. We made a plan for new medicine and I appreciate his time and expertise so much for dedicating himself to help others. Everyone in his Office, his PA, assistant, front desk. Everyone was super nice. I could have picked nobody BETTER.

Dr. Mease diagnosed me with lupus nearly 30 years ago; he's been treating me ever since. He's dedicated, brilliant, and well-respected by his peers. He is frequently named in "Best Doctors" lists. He has given lectures all over the world. He has a very gentle voice and a thoughtful and compassionate manner. I've occasionally heard others say that he can be a bit impersonal, but that has not been my experience at all. He takes his time to consider the questions I ask before he answers, which makes me feel he is really hearing me, and I never feel rushed. He patiently listens to my follow-up questions and concerns, explains his thinking, and works with me to find the best course of action specific to my situation. Dr. Mease has an exceptional memory. He remembers all that has happened over the years, all the symptoms, all the medications, and all the treatments. I would hate to have to go to someone new who would never read my extensive records. He has a wry sense of humor, and always helps me to stay positive. I have needed treatment from a range of specialists -- orthopaedists to neuro-ophthalmologists. He has an uncanny knack of referring me to doctors I respect and personally like. With only one exception, I have kept each of them until they've retired. He works well with my whole team.
His staff has been amazing, and many of them stay with him for years. I've come to know them well, and so appreciate all they do for me. They go the extra mile, and always have, right from my first days as a patient there. They are very responsive and willing to walk me through the occasional maze of medical paperwork. I think I must have done something good in a previous life to have found such an exceptional team in this one.

Dr. Mease is a Research ROCK STAR. Any trait that may feel impersonal does not reflect his CARE for people and his gift is scientific research. That said, he has a staff who are beyond expectation!- MDs, ARNPs, PA's have treated my conditions for several years. Each appointment, phone call, even email has shown respect, compassion, patience and attentive. Diagnoses can sometimes take quite a while yet the quality of care has been steady throughout. Thank you Dr. Mease and Seattle Rheumatology Associates! Victoria S
