Initially, I found Dr. Apgar to be helpful and professional. My next two visits proved to be awful for me. She was judgmental and extremely cold about an std I was told I could have. As a woman who had just become sexually active this was a bit traumatic. I highly recommend Dr. Wolfgram.

While Dr. Apgar is a warm, personable doctor, the fact that she has twice given me dangerously wrong information, has led me write this review. 1) I am perimenopausal. After testing hormone levels in my blood, she told me I could go off birth control. I was not comfortable with that advice as I work in the field so I looked it up in Contraceptive Technology and read that women who are perimenopausal have greatly fluctuating hormones and should be kept on birth control to avoid pregnancy. 2) I went back to her (I had an infection and it was taking too long to get in as a new patient elsewhere). I told her that urgent care had prescribed medicine for my infection that I found out from my pharmacist has a dangerous interaction (risk of heart problems) with other medication I am taking. After examining me, Dr. Apgar gave me a different prescription. When I went to fill the prescription, the pharmacist told me it should not be taken with my other medication. (risk of heart problems)

Dr. Agar goes above and beyond for her patients and really takes the time to answer questions. Consider yourself lucky if you find yourself in the care of this top notch practice...they are always so thorough and read up on the latest studies.

Dr. Apgar is amazing -- friendly, compassionate, warm -- excellent bedside manner. Always has time for whatever I need. The wait time is usually a bit long, but I'm not sure how much she can personally control that. She has always spent whatever time I need, so I assume she does that with others, which may put her a bit behind schedule. I am happy to wait for her because I know I won't be rushed. Can't say enough wonderful things about her! Have recommended her to others and have lots of friends who see her as well.

Cannot recommend Dr. Apgar highly enough. Would not go anywhere else. She is competent, friendly, funny, and a great doctor. I'm surprised to see people write negatively. Many of my friends go to her and we all adore her. Excellent doctor.

Really awful wait time. I have spent over an hour waiting for her. Poor bedside manner. Unwilling or unable to answer many questions. Was bleeding during a pregnancy and she was on call.. left two messages thirty minutes apart no call back. When finally heard from her was very rude and incompassionate during a possible miscarriage. Would avoid her. Others in same practice are great.

Bedside manner leaves alot to be desired. She is often curt and disinterested whereas other doctors in this same group are top notch in every area- including bedside manner.

Professional but very condescending for that I switched to Dr. Steve Behram in Rockville when I became pregnant. Her staff and the nurse are plain rude and insensitive. It is very hard to make an appointment with them. She did take the time to fully answer my questions completely. But I honestly cannot tell you whether she is knowledgeable or not as my questions were all basic ones. I think what turned me off were her cold behaviour and her staff. I do have a friend who has delivered both of her children with her and is happy with her. Good design magazines in her office make the wait more bearable!
