After suffering with lupus, rashes, brittle and thinning hair and nails, chronic pain and fatigue for years, I was referred to Dr. Powell. He listened to me and validated me. He ran blood, hair, and stool tests that my previous doctor had not. He was then able to custom tailor a plan for me to follow on my journey to being pain-free. It is a long process and takes a lot of patience and time, but Dr. Powell is there every step of the way. He is brilliant and approaches disease in a novel way. I am so grateful that he thinks outside the box of standard care.

Dr. Powell is amazing, wonderful, kind, caring, and genuinely full of information to get you healthy. He does not like to just prescribe medication to cover up your symptoms. He wants to get to the root of the problem and cure you of your disease. His research is cutting edge, and he never stops trying to learn more information about healing. I have been his patient for 7 years, and I will never see another Rheumatologist. His has helped me get my RA not only under control, but 90% in remission.

Dr Powell has helped me when other doctors have given up. he thinks outside of the box and is determined to find solutions to my health problems. Dr Powell also refers to other excellent physicians if the issue is outside the scope of his expertise. I am very grateful for his medical care.

I'd had CFIDS for 2 years when I started treatment with Dr. Powell. Although his treatment plan seemed sound, at first, it eventually became apparent that he although he based his plan off a popular book, he was not well versed these methods, nor was he certified through the author's program of physician education. The biggest issue was that when I started to have severe negative reactions as a direct result of the supplements and meds, both he and his P.A. blamed me for "not wanting to get well." When I requested my records, I found that almost none of these negative consequences were noted, and those that were noted were belittled (e.g. mild nausea instead of abdominal pain). I'm now hypersensitive to all of the medications and supplements from this treatment and cannot use them, which is unfortunate, as about 5% have been shown to be helpful. Five years later, I have not recovered the level of function I lost on Dr. Powell's treatment program.

Dr. Powell is the greatest. I am a health care provider from Grass Valley, CA who has the privelege to refer patients to Dr. Powell. When I have a patient that I cannot make an accurate diagnosis, Dr. Powell does a great job figuring out the case and making the appropriate treatment for the case.

I am 45yr old female and I have been chronically ill for years. I have four children and have seen many doctors that have tried to help me. Dr. Powell has been the only doctor that has done extensive testing on me. He is by far the most knowledgable doctor I have ever been to. He goes beyond modern medicine to find answers and solutions. Thou I am currently ill, Dr. Powell has a plan for me and hopes for a good road to recovery for me. Most of all for me I trust him and believe he truely wants to see his patients get diagnosed and treated. I have Celiac Disease, Fibromyalgia, Anemia as well as other medical issues that I am being tested for. I wish I had found him years ago, I believe my condition would not be as advanced as it is today.

Dr. Powell is excellent, honest, and a very good communicator. He keeps up on the latest research. He doesn't talk down to patients and make them feel like losers just because they have chronic fatigue. My other primary care doctors rolled their eyes at me and scoffed at me and told me my pain and symptoms were all in my head. After a surgery, I started making progress with my health and with my fatigue level, when I came to Dr. Powell and his PA, Michael. Dr. Powell is honest and tells the truth to his patients. This is very important to me. Other doctors say one thing to your face and write a different story in your medical records. If you have chronic fatigue, try going to Dr. Powell a few times.

Dr. Powell specializes in treating patients with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, and is extremely knowledgeable of current medical developments in these poorly understood and often under-diagnosed diseases. As a patient who suffered from an undiagnosed illness for ten years, I consider myself very fortunate to have found Dr. Powell and to receive his care and treatment.
