I was warned by a colleague about this Dr and how upsetting he is in his practise. Since it's difficult to find a family Dr I thought I would try.

Not only does he argue with you when you ask for something he tells you incorrect information. I called to get a referral to a plastic surgeon for a breast reduction and he said "that's not how this works" that I needed to go and PAY for a consultation and the surgeon would decide whether I am eligible for full coverage. Two days later I called a walk in clinic and they asked me a few questions then gave me a referral. THIS IS ACTUALLY HOW THE MEDICAL SYSTEM WORKS.

I could go on with other instances but I don't have the energy to waste on this unprofessional "Dr".

Maybe certain Dr's should retire if they are going to be LAZY and argue with patients. AVOID THIS MAN at all costs.

This doctor is getting long in the tooth and doesn’t have the patience to deal with children. Best to to elsewhere with your child.

Absolutely the best! If he had not gone the extra mile to get me a Colonoscopy, I am 75, they would not have found a mass on my bowel.

I saw Dr. Eric Gustavsson, he didn’t really take the time to listen to anything I had to say and kept talking over me. After looking at my prescriptions and procedures done previously he literally told me I was too much of a case and had to be seen at E.R. Granted, I have several underlying conditions and issues going on but wasn’t necessarily what I was going in there for those preexisting issues. I had booked an appointment with my family doctor but have to wait until March 30. I tried walk-in clinics in penticton but they were at full capacity. Since I don’t live in westbank I called ahead and spoke with the front staff because I don’t live there. The front staff were amazing and accommodating and I got in right away. He barely assessed me (not doing any tests) and brushed me off without any answers or suggestions. He was very arrogant and came to conclusions before the visit even began. Dr.s are supposed to do no harm and I literally walked out of there crying, feeling I wasted both his and my time and still struggling. Waste of time and tax payers money. I’d think twice going there if he’s working.

This man didn't listen to anything I tried to say. Extremely dismissive, rude and will check if he's working before going back to that clinic.

Dr Gustavsson does not listen to his patients. He's brusque and rude and only wants to prescribe something to get you out the door and brushes off any concerns or questions you might have. If you have anything more complicated than an easily diagnosable, physically visible problem, go to someone else.
