Botched circumcision causing scars that will remain forever

My son's area was black and rotting before I found out with MY OWN research that Canadian Pediatrics doesn't recommend circumcision. I feel betrayed by all of the other moms who suggested the procedure to be safe and beneficial. It is cosmetic, painful and my son is not the only one who has suffered this "uncommon" risk. Most of all though I feel betrayed by the medical "professionals" who assured me this was a good idea for my son. If you are going to butcher your sons, at the very least don't go to this doctor. It is ironic all the mothers I see doing thorough research on reviews for their own plastic surgery, but when it comes to circumcision they will throw their fragile baby on the first table of any circ surgeon. This is a serious operation and it has serious risks. Just like any other operation.

He performed a circumcision on my newborn son- it was perfect!

He did my sons at Oshawa hospital when he was born.
He didn’t take enough off, there are like skin tag looking things along where it was cut, I have to push on his skin to make his penis come out (he is now 2)

When I fought and got an appointment with him again he told me it’s cosmetic that he wouldnt do it then cause he was a few months old and he would have to put him under so if I wanted it fixed we would have to wait till he’s ten

We saw another dr after that and he was great but said yes we would now have to wait till he’s older to fix it.

I would never let him around if I ever had another son

Had my son's circumcision done at the hospital the day after he was born.

Before choosing ring size for procedure, the nurse assisting Dr. Gibson suggested a size that would fit, but the Doctor disagreed and went with another size. Literally, right after my son was out of surgery, his foreskin was overtop of the protectoion devise and ended up healing the same way.

My son is now a year old and I have never been satisfied with how the end result turned out. Looking into it online, I found out what my son had was an "incomplete circumcision" and will need a second circumcision to fix the problem. It really bothers me that Dr. Gibson's lack of knowledge about his circumcision specialty has probably affected so many other parents are their children.

That nurse's suggestion has haunted me ever since...

Please look into any other Urologist for a more professional job.

Dr. Gibson is one of most easy going specialist i've ever dealt with. He definatly likes to error on the side of caution. He is truly a gift to his profession !!!!!! Thnks for everything Ronaldo G.

I had a great experience with Dr. Gibson. He performed my son's circumcision and I was quite pleased. Dr. Gibson was very informative and friendly. He helped put my mind at ease during the entire procedure. I had read some negative reviews about Dr. Gibson on this website and was quite anxious. But my experience was the exact opposite. Dr. Gibson was great and I would definitely recommend him!

I had a very pleasant meeting with Dr.Gibson for my first consult, as well as my follow ups. I wasn't waiting for more than 10 minutes which is unusual for a specialist... takes almost an hour to see my own family doctor. He and his receptionist Brittany were a delight to deal with from the first appointment to the last. Polite, Respectful, and Trustworthy.
