Please do not trust this man with your teeth. This man should not be able to practice dentistry. I'm not even sure where to start other than I am beyond upset with Scott Taylor. I was a patient of him for almost 25 years.

In April 2020 a quarter of my molar chipped on a tooth that Scott Taylor had filled due to a cavity. Scott Taylor examined my mouth and told me that I needed a crown in May 2020. Being in the middle of a pandemic and with his office still closed, I went to another dentist (thank god). X-rays were taken on the first visit and I had five huge cavities (two were visible and not mentioned by Scott one month prior). One cavity was under a cavity filled by Dr. Taylor that needed a crown and root canal because half of the tooth was lost to decay, on top of the crown for the tooth that chipped. Also, tooth decay spread from one tooth to another accounting for two of the cavities. I seriously wanted to cry after my new dentist told me all of this, I had no idea that this was happening to my teeth.

I last saw Scott Taylor for a cleaning in October of 2020. This amount of tooth decay does not happen in 7 months and could have been previously addressed with x-rays. If they had been addressed, the tooth decay would not have been as bad as it was. Not to mention that there was so much tartar buildup that was seen in the X-rays, above and below the gumline. My new dentist stated that this could not happen in a 7 month period and was missed at the last cleaning. I practice good dental hygiene, I brush my teeth at least twice a day with a sonicare toothbrush, floss every night, and also use a waterpik. I'm not a dentist and do not know how often X-rays should be done. I trust my dentist to recommend having them done to keep my teeth healthy, unfortunately, I was wrong to do so with Scott Taylor. Had Scott Taylor ever recommended I had x-rays done, I would not currently be addressing years of dental work from July 2020 through January 2021 (over $6,000).

I have been a patient of his for almost 25 years, but thanks to the corona virus I will no longer be going to him. I advise you to do the same. He does not even deserve one star.

Update: after requesting records from his office, knowing that I have not have x rays taken in the past few years, I received hand written notes from Scott Taylor that I had x-rays taken only 3 times in the past time years. One of the x-rays were supposedly taken in January of 2019. My credit card statement shows a $90 charge, the price of a cleaning. Not only does he not take preventative care, but he also fraudulently falsifies documents. Waiting to hear back from the dental board. He has a previous case and disciplinary action that can be found on https://www.dbc.ca.gov/ using his License number 38758

Love this dentist! I recommend him to everyone who asks about a dentist. He is funny, cheerful, friendly, and the office staff is the same. My kids love them as well. Office is small and clean and very personal. Does not feel like a giant corporation run business. Give him a try!
