I am a patient of Dr Kupersmith. I find him knowledgeable, personable and thorough. And important to me, on time. He doesn't keep you waiting for long periods before being seen.

A highly trained brilliant Dr. that helped me very much and recommended me a another highly trained brilliant eye surgeon. Yes, no doubt he was rude and difficult but I would go back to him for his proficiently in this field.

Dr. Kupersmith asked me questions but interrupted before I could finish answering. He complained about all the decisions made by my other health care providers and went on several rants that didn’t have anything to do with my condition. He shut me down whenever I tried to explain what I’ve been feeling or other test results. He didn’t seem to care about what I was actually experiencing—only what he could perceive during his assessment. He was dismissive, sexist, and lacked compassion. I didn’t get to ask the questions that I came there for because he didn’t agree with my diagnosis and didn’t believe I really have a problem. I would have left in the middle of the visit, but I was scared that he would write something incorrect in my chart. I came to him for help, but left almost in tears. His staff was friendly and professional, but he has the worst bedside manner. Thank goodness I have other health care providers who are willing to listen to me and who actually believe me.

THE BEST DOCTOR - I am a patient for over 10 years. He extremely intelligent and tells you straight how it is. I think the people who left negative feedback do not understand the breadth of the doctors practice of patients with neuro ophthalmology issues. You may have to wait because some cases are more complex than others and there are always emergencies in the medical world. If you want the most knowledgeable info and best care for your eyes. go see him.

Excellent doctor: Extremely knowledgeable & highly experienced with a very good staff and well run office. Neuro ophthalmology is a field with only a few dedicated professionals. Dr Kupersmith is well known and well respected within this field for good reason.
He has been monitoring my vision for about 15 years.

I notice other reviewers have called him arrogant. Perhaps they mistake the sureness of his opinions, which are based on decades of experience, interaction, and research, for arrogance and also may use that word for their own frustrations a grappling with the complexities of their medical issues.
He is not arrogant; he just knows what he is talking about.

The worst, most arrogant condescending dr I've ever met. His "opinion" after meeting me and spending approx 3 minutes with me. While constantly interrupting me when I tried to answer his questions Was to bash every other dr I've ever seen, one in particular by name, and to tell me they were all wrong in anything they may have ever told me? All dr kupersmith had to say about the reason my dr referred me to him was that he was not impressed with the MRI. That some drs/radiologist don't read MRI 's correctly. And he made it clear he felt I had wasted his time. What kind of dr is this?? Then After basically dismissing me he charged me an additional $75 for looking at my MRI. He requested that I bring the MRI disk, but somehow neglected to mention he charges extra for him to look at it. Honestly- I'm the one who was not impressed!

Dr. Kupersmith is very smart, knowledgeable and hugely caring of the patient. I am so glad that I went to him with my eye problems. After going to 6 prior physicians with each making a different diagnosis, I finally got to a guy who was more interested in finding the source and magnatude of my problems than just making me feel "good". Patients who care about excellent service should like Dr. Kupersmith as much as I do. Those who need to be patronized while they are being "guessed at" might like someone else. Dr. Kupersmith is as demanding of other physicians and technicians (MRI/CT) as he is of himself. For my needs, that's the kind of doctor I want to visit when I need help!

We took our teen son to Dr. Kupersmith and found him extremely kind, considerate and very knowledgable. Our son liked him and we found the examination very thorough.

I have never been to a more arrogant and condescending physician. Sure, his wall is adorned with accolades of his greatness - but he is downright cold - you get 60 seconds to tell what is wrong with you and if you are lucky at the end, 30 seconds of questions to ask the doctor. This is defintely not a warm and fuzzy kind of man.

Dr. Mark Kupersmith seems to be knowledgeable but fails to communicate effectively with patient. I question if he really cares. He seemed to be more interested in other cases than mine.
