Excellent skill set, looks out for patients best interest. Very direct communicator, doesn't mince words. 2 surgeries years apart and I couldn't be more impressed with him.

I had a full hip replacement by Dr. Cuellar using anterior approach. Results were excellent. Pain well managed and rehab went very well. Dr. Cuellar was prompt for appointments and took the time to answer all questions/concerns and was very patient in the process. He gave the impression that he goal is to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient and is very meticulous in how he goes about his work to ensure the best outcome. Before I had my surgery I researched his background and skills and he received very high marks from all I spoke with. Prior to surgery is nurse gave a very thorough review of the procedure, precautions to be taken, expectations for rehab and recovery. They made sure I was well educated and well prepared and comfortable when I went into surgery.

I would not recommend dr. alberto cuellar. He is by far the worse doctor that I have ever encountered. He is very unprofessional and lacks essential medical competence. This doctor fails to include you in the medical process. He is very rude and will often become very argumentative. He has very poor judgement and will not fully answer all questions or address your concerns. I would not recommend dr. alberto cuellar. please check all reviews before dealing with this doctor.

Had a patella tendon repaired by this physician. The sutures became infected and caused problems five years later. I had to secure another physician at Kelsey Seybold to remove the sutures and other trash that had accumulated in the impact area. I question Dr. Cuellar's decision making relative to choice of materials to use in surgery. I was not impressed.

Did my complete left knee replacement in 2008. Made a complete recovery within 6 months. Very little visible scaring. Key to the successful surgery is their attention to detail in the preparation before surgery and the follow up therapy.
