I was assigned this doctor by hospital referral,I suffer from Bi Polar, he overloaded me on medication and pricey therapy. When I no longer could afford the therapy, he got angry and said I didn't need medication either. The man pulled my medications that controlled my bi polar cold turkey after I had taken them for several years, NOT a good practice. I ended up in River Park Hospital for near a month and having ECT treatments, thankfully they gave me a caring, knowledgeable doctor. As for Russ Voltin, I find him to be a rude snob only there for the money and when something doesn't go his way he shuts you down. Un Professional and Un Quality care is what he gave me. I would not wish him on any person suffering from a mental disorder.

I was forced to see this doctor when my doc was on a well-deserved vacation.I call this man Voltin, the Less than Magnificent. His vocabulary to describe patients is negative, I saw a report he did on me. My cats deserve better than this. I do not trust him long before he got into trouble for inappropriate behavior with a female patient. Why Dr. Dan cannot see through him, I'll never know. I guess when people go to school together, sometimes they get blind spots about their doctor friends. I don't think doctors in a group treat each other but I'm not sure. Dr. Dan is so intelligent in every other way and such a great people person. I cannot believe Voltin got a higher rating than Dr. Thistlethwaite unless some of Voltin's younger female patients graded him. Voltin had to practice psychiatry under supervision for a period of time and you know how hard it is to get the Medical Review board to do anything about a bad doctor. This is my honest opinion. I am not humble~! imho

Visits are quick and to the point...just like I lie. Great doctor...he will help you find the right dose and right meds for your needs. (I know they are all supposed to do this...but Dr. Voltin is very very good at what he does!!!)

Wonderful doctor. Very helpful and honest. Doesn't like to give multiple medications unless necessary. One of the most knowledgable physicians I have met.
