Highly recommended! This morning I had inguinal hernia surgery with Dr. Smith. It was my first surgery and my anxiety started 3 weeks ago. I used to read your reviews and relax. Although I had only met Doctor. Smith twice, I had a very good and positive opinion of him. All I can say is that the surgical experience so far has been great beyond my imagination. Before the surgery, Dr. Smith gave me a meeting to answer my questions and reduce my anxiety, and this was very valuable for me. The office secretary was very kind and patient and always answered the messages quickly. Even today, when I had surgery, Dr. Smith was present in the anesthesia room, and until I entered the surgery room, until the moments before anesthesia, he made everything easy with his explanations about the surgery and his kind smile, and I must add that the anesthesia team was also
excellent.

I had laparoscopic cholecystectomy by Dr. Smith 2 months ago. I was so worried about result of that but it went very well. I backed to routine 2 days after surgery didn't have any pain and problem and scars on my abdomen are so tiny. I am completely satisfied
with Dr. Smith and appreciate him.

I my gallbladder removed (laparoscopic cholecystectomy) by Dr. Smith Mar 2019.
I was nervous about having the surgery but Dr. Smith was very calm and reassuring. The day of my surgery he explained everything again and I felt safe and confident with his abilities. He has quite a bit of experience and is very knowledgeable, yet humble and approachable. His team at the NYGH was also excellent.
Surgery went well. I had some other health issues and had to be admitted. Dr. Smith came to visit me every day in hospital and I felt very well cared for. His office assistant Heidi is just fantastic. She is friendly and returns calls promptly and provides thorough information re: appointments etc.
While I certainly do not look forward to surgery, I am happy and very impressed with Dr. Smith and his team.

Very knowledgeable and patient doctor. I was very nervous before my gallbladder removal surgery. Dr. Smith explained everything and made me feel very comfortable. I had some concerns after the surgery and left a voicemail with his secretary. Dr. Smith called me back himself and ensured that everything that I was experiencing was completely normal. I would Highly recommend this doctor.
