muddled office lost my second letter of appointment and i sat in the waiting room for two hours. the letter of referral to another specialist was also apparently lost,and i waited for 2 hours on the first visit because they had lost someone else's letter of appointment. The doctor seemed vague, disinterested, foggy, and provided little information that wasn't specifically solicited by me. She suggested a medication and said she would give me a one-week prescription to try it and see if I wanted to continue through my GP, then wrote the scrip for a six month period. The sleep study appointment itself finally came four months after I had finally resolved the insomnia with sleep mask, ear plugs, double dose of Robaxacet muscle relaxant, prescription sleep med, antidepressant,and Breathe Right nose strips. I was told to use all of those during the study-- so how could they possibly get a baseline sense of the problem. itself?

The meeting with this Doctor consisted of her reading the Technicians report and sending me off to the Equipment provider. When I attempted to obtain further information and advice she unfortunately would not return phone calls. Most good Medical Professionals do care and would take the time to discuss issues with their patients...

I had a very nice visit with Dr. Giannoulli, although she was half an hour late and then had to see one patient before me. She explained the Sleep Lab tests and took her time with me even though she was behind. She mentioned a surgical option that was not related to my condition - that I had pondered about and before I knew it I had a package with detailed information and referral made to institution performing the surgery. Unfortunately that institution has a long waiting list. I sure enjoyed talking with her nurse who does her follow up. I look forward to seeing her again.

I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Giannoulli after I had my sleep test results. She was thorough and knowledgeable and asked many questions and explained many things that no one had ever told me before. For example, how a stroke can be caused by sleep apnea. Her staff loves her, and I can see why.
