We consider meeting Dr Dolman a profound blessing whose specialized skills, decades of knowledge, along with his dedicated team, and his kind character witnessing ourselves how Dr Dolman would always reach out giving his time to provide a true level of passionate support in building patient confidence towards the outcome.

Our story starts within a year and half, circumstances happened both my wife and I suddenly became patients of Dr Dolman, we can't express enough our gratitude in how Dr Dolman and his amazing team (Jean, Willi) immediately accepted and helped us. We live in Nelson BC, where distance did not seem to be a challenge or issue for Dr Dolman, he always returned our calls and email messages, even calling past 6:00pm at a time like the rest of use when he should be at home with his family made us recognize a deep feeling of respect and empathy for him. In fact, he invited us to personally text message him should anything urgent come up, can’t be kind enough in building that confidence and genuine respect for each other.

While waiting for surgery in September of 2022, in Nelson summer of 2022 my wife suddenly incurred severe pain issues, we contacted Dr Dolman for help, Dr Dolman took extra ordinary steps in contacting the local Ophthalmologist in Trail for engagement, he contacted the local emergency ward at KLDH to make sure she was being helped, he helped arrange for an emergency MRI scan in Trail (1 hour away) that turned out to be a positive outcome. As for myself I was diagnosed on Oct 19, 2023, with a large mass near the lacrimal gland in my left eye, I was told there may be bone removal, I received corrective surgery Jan 5, 2024, Dr Dolman was able to remove the mass without bone removal, reducing my recover time to hours, I was sent home from the hospital that evening… we are so grateful.

Dr. Dolman was amazing to deal with. Went above and beyond to get me an appointment within a week of my referral and then ended up doing a surgery the same day to save me from having to make another trip to Vancouver. Would recommend him!

Dr. Peter Dolman (Vancouver) removed the bulging bags under my eyes. They had been touching my glasses every time I smiled, sneezed, or leaned over. I'm very pleased with the results of the surgery. The dissolving stitches didn't even feel scratchy!
Dr. Dolman has a calming, kind presence and speaks so politely to his staff. He encourages text messages and is very good at answering them, to save patients another trip to the office.
By the end of the day, Dr. Dolman's appointments run late, but I feel this is because he gives everyone the time necessary. He's worth waiting for.

I waited about 8 months to see Dr. Dolman for my Graves orbitopathy. He was definitely worth the wait. Although I had to wait quite a while since his waiting area was extremely full and he met with more patients than I’ve ever seen, he came out himself to bring me on the office. He is very kind and really listened to me. He answered all my questions and my husbands as well. He’s very knowledgeable and although I’ve met with two other ophthalmologists and an endocrinologist, I learned so many new things. I definitely recommend him and he’s following up in a few months also.

Dr. Dolman recently performed blepharoplasty on my eyelids. I had multiple consults with him beforehand, in order to address some pre-existing conditions. Throughout the process he was thorough and compassionate, even helping with my anxiety about the surgery itself. The actual procedure was quick, with minimal discomfort, and I’ve had an easy, uncomplicated recovery. The results of the surgery are, without question, spectacular. I am so very grateful for the surgical and interpersonal skills of this doctor, and recommend him without hesitation.

Dr. Dolman is a very kind, caring, compassionate doctor very attentive to his patient's eye health needs. You may have to wait to wait sometimes but this can't be avoided.
I would highly recommend this doctor for his skills, knowledge and respectful bedside manner.
