Always genuine, kind, and honest, anytime I've seen him. He always seems to go above and beyond.

The worst doctor i have ever come into contact with.
He would get a 0 if his staff werent part of the rating.
Very rude, and the worst part is he isnt very knowledgable. If you try to ask questions or question him at all, he erupts and get very angry with you.
Terrible temper, and just not a good doctor at all. Very unprofessional and has huge ego but I have no idea why.

I saw him today at the Upper River Valley Hospital. I found out I had Covid. He only listened to a couple of things I had to say. He cut me off and didn’t let me finish telling him how I felt. The first thing he said was “At least your not on life support or breathing machines then I would worried about you”. It felt like he was scared to be in the room with me. I wanted to talk to him more but he never returned. He got a nurse to give me a puffer for nighttime breathing. A puffer isn’t going to help with the body aches, nausea, and migraines.
I would give him no stars if it was possible.

I would give him zero stars if I could. My fingernail lifted completely off of my nail bed at work but was still attached at the ‘root’ and I needed it removed. My finger was swollen, bleeding, throbbing and tender to touch. I went to the ER, he had TERRIBLE bed side manner. He tried to rip my nail off with no freezing or even a warning as I screamed in pain and then he proceeded to tell me I was being dramatic, to calm down and it wasn’t a surgery. I asked for freezing and he gave me more attitude. I told him that it was necessary because it hurt SO BAD. Bottom line is.. didn’t have any empathy at all. He didn’t care that I was in pain, crying and asking for freezing. I am traumatized and I will never go back (if I have a choice) to URV Hospital because of him.

I have seen Dr. Alaa Al Sharief twice in Waterville at the ER. He is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. he is not quick to prescribe unnecessary medications yet knowledgeable enough to know when to prescribe. He is definitely an asset to our local hospital.

I saw a doctor at ER in Waterville with the same name, maybe he has transferred from Freddy? Well the Doctor I saw by this name was rude and had no bedside manners. He told me he was prescribing a new birth control pill, and when I asked him what was different with this new pill versus the one I was already on, he got really defensive and didn't really answer me other than snipping back that there were just different. Turns out they were IDENTICAL as the pills I already had, so I wasted money on a prescription I already had.

Dr.Al-Sharief,he soesn't give a damn when it comes to medical problem.I was in the hospital in Fredericton a few years ago,with a bleeding ulcer and third degree burns and this doctor went beyond and was treating foe mental problems that I never had in the first place,I have a family doctor right now.And I ask everybody to stand clear of this stupid doctor.
