Was to have supposely had my tubes snipped and tied six years ago by this Doctor that I had much faith and confidence in. Here I am six years later and an routine ultrasound on the liver and kidneys picks up a fetus thats five weeks and five days? Hmmmmm at forty seven, pregnant again? Can it be possible? What happened to the form that I authorized to be snipped and tied? With the huge risk at my age.... wondering what do I do.....Doc no longer practises in Prince Albert.

Rude and non communicative. Didn't seem interested in my concerns. Seemed angry and put off by my visit.

At the age of 16 I lost one of my ovaries. It torsioned and killed the left ovary. Since then I went through numerous gynos and they put me on various birth controls thinking it would reduce the chance of getting more cysts on my remaining ovary. None of them worked and I kept getting cysts. This past January I got extreme pain on my right side. I was rushed into the hospital and she was on call. Sure enough it was a cyst. She immediately went in and drained it. Since then she has put me on a birth control that has FINALLY kept the cysts from forming. She explains everything very thoroughly and is VERY concerned about keeping my remaining ovary healthy so that I can eventually have kids (im only 19). She is very caring and tender-hearted. She is well worth the wait even though she is usually late. Love her and have referred her to many!!

Never punctual, I've frequently been kept waiting for over an hour. Although I was seeing her regularly, she would have no memory of me each time I came to see her. I would sit there for several minutes while she read my entire file. I thought I might have a fibroid tumor and suggested an ultrasound, but based on a brief examination she insisted I was wrong and didn't need an ultrasound. One of my other doctors was surprised at this and ordered an ultrasound for me. What do you know, I had a fibroid. I think she is competent with minor issues but if I had a serious problem I would go to a different doctor.

Back in 2002, I delivered my firstborn in PA and Dr. Tennant was on call at the time. This was the most HORRIFYING experience of my life to date. I was in labour for approximately 30 hours, and was not able to deliver naturally. A C-Section was performed and during the surgery she knicked an artery....while repairing this artery, she knicked my ureter. She and the other surgeon were not aware of this at the time. A few days later I was very ill and leaking urine out of my C-section incision. I was anemic, and in the beginning stages of heart failure and had beginning stages of pneumonia. Throughout this all, this doctor dismissed all insight/suggestions a nurse had in regards to my condition. THANK goodness for some very special nurses in that hospital who overstept their bounds to help me get better. I will eternally be grateful to them as they are the reason I made it home with my son.

If it wasn't for Dr. Alison Tennent, my 2 year old girl would not be here today! I kept having false labour, and would be sent home after every examination. The last time I went in, Dr. Tennent was on call, and was a "life-saver", literally. My baby was in trouble, not responding, and her heart rate dropped suddenly. Dr. Tennent was very thorough, very concerned and prompt. I had an emergency "C" section, and because she acted promptly, my little girl is with us today. I am forever grateful for her quick thinking, and genuine concern! I would definitely want her in the room in an emergency! Efficiency is one of her best qualities!

This doctor is never on time. I have waited in her waiting room for hours when there is only a couple people in there. I had an appointment for 9am once, and she didn't even get into the office until after 10am! She is a very bossy and rude doctor who made me feel uncomfortable everytime I went to see her. She is very knowledgable in her field, but doesn't treat her patients with respect. She tried to convince me to get my tubes tied because I was diabetic and shouldn't be having anymore children. I wasn't sure I was ready to take that drastic of a measurement, because I wasn't sure I was done having children. But, she tried to push the issue... In my experience, she isn't a very good doctor.
