I, Kip T. have been seeing Dr Drew for over ten years for migraines. He was giving me seven eighty mg pills a day. Never had a complete and past every drug test. I got married and took my husband's last name. Some how my medicare and Medicaid was messed up. I told him and others, showed them the paper work that I was getting in the mail. I paid cash as much as i could from what money I got from SSI. Plus paying cash for meds. I could not pay my bills at home even. He refused to see me anymore unless I paid him cash. Well my insurance is figured out and it was out of my control and now they are back dating everything. So in other words he is like this " I don't care about you, just what money or insurance I can milk you for". All he cares about is money. It's a sham how some Doctor's treat their patients. Sham on you.

Most of the people who come into a pain clinic are difficult cases. His wait time is always long because he takes so much time with each of his patients.

Having been a patient of Dr. Drew's since 1999, I find many of the reviews of him and his practice on this site very inaccurate and one sided. If you are going to a Pain Clinic, obviously there is something wrong OR, as is clear in some of the comments below, you are merely seeking narcotic drugs. Some of the reviews complain that they were discharged from his practice. He has a very clear and well communicated Narcotics Contract. If you violate the agreement, you will be discharged. Following the contract is simply a matter of being honest and doing what you agreed to do. Many of the negative comments complain that he want't to do tests and procedures to try and resolve the pain and the negative comments COMPLAIN about this. Why do they complain? Because they are simply Drug Seekers. Does Dr. Drew get people addicted to pain meds? NO. He offers the pain meds when appropriate to help reduce or manage your pain. It is VERY WELL communicated to the patient that taking these narcotics carry significant responsibility and risks. You don't follow the rules and you could lose your life to many of these drugs. Too many people attempt to maintain their drug habits through pain clinics and some clinics may allow you to do this. Dr. Drew WILL NOT as it is not in your best interest. I can tell you without any doubt that if you have a legitimate need to be on narcotics and you follow the rules, you will get along with Dr. Drew and he will NOT "get you hooked and dump you". If you think you are going to play games and get whatever drugs you want, you are going to be severely disappointed, which is where the majority of the negative comments originate. I have been on some of the largest doses of narcotics which Dr. Drew has ever prescribed to a patient, but I took the effort to reduce my narcotic levels down by 90% as my pain became controlled. Being on large doses of narcotic drugs for a long period of time will not improve your quality of life, it will only create numerous other problems for you to deal with. If you legitimately have chronic pain and are serious about trying to reduce or eliminate your pain, it is going to require having procedures and various tests to solve your problem. If you are unwilling to have any tests and claim all of the procedures have failed before and you are demanding narcotics, then it is very likely you need inpatient drug rehabilitation. I am offended by many of these negative comments about Dr. Drew. Simply look at the incoherant writing, the jumbled and contradicting stories and accusations and not that most of those who post negative comments are upset because they couldn't get the drugs THEY sought. If these same people showed up at a Emergency Room and complained of pain, but wouldn't allow any tests to be done, procedures to be performed and simply insisted that a specific narcotic is the ONLY solution to their problem, they would be dismissed and not get their drugs there either. Also, if you already have someone prescribing you narcotics and blame Dr. Drew because he won't give you more, you are being very unfair and unrealistic in your negative reviews of Dr. Drew.

I have went to Dr. Drew for over ten years, things were good when I had insurance and he could do procedures but I haven't wanted to do most of there procedures because of there staff has poor sterile procedure. As a nurse I know a little more then most of his staff and they don't like that I know when there doing something wrong. I have been on other medication for anxiety that I have been on for at least 10 years, now due to laws being past Dr. Drew told me he won't see me if I continue with that medication. He told me on my last next to last visit that I need to decide. The next month Dr. Drew asked me what my decision is I told I will try to find another Doctor who will respect me and let me be treated for all of my diagnosis . Dr. Drew said fine this is the last time I will see you. I asked what if I can't get in for a couple of months? Dr. Drew said this the last visit I will have. Dr. Drew also called my other Doctor without my consent and now he advised he won't be able to see either. All the medication I am on is because of both of this doctors and as long as you have good insurance they will keep on giving scripts and as lone as you do all the other things Dr Drew want you to do he is fine but if you disagree with him you will find yourself without your meds. There are better Doctors out there, don't let Dr. Drew tell you what you can be treated for its your life don't let them control it ! I find this all to be a blessing because I am weaning my self off and feeling better, I am up and doing more and taking more natural supplements. So do your research and find a good doctor, not one that sets up a office in every surrounding town like a McDonald's, Don't let no doctor make decisions for you. Dr. Drew will tell you it's your decision do what you want to do, that is as long as it's what he wants you to do! Dr Drew or one of his offices is not what you want to do, trust me.

This doctor performed a procedure on me that left me going to the ER the night of the procedure. I was advised by the ER to follow up with him the next day and I basically had to insist to be seen and when I was this was a TOTALLY different man than the one doing the procedure the day before. He appeared to be irritated that I was experiencing pain and complications and informed me in an exam room without even examining me, that if I couldn't stop crying ~ he wasn't going to be able to help me. Even though the reason I was so upset is because every word out of his mouth was that he wasn't going to be able to help me with the acute pain I was experiencing. I felt like he had his $25000 for the procedure and was done with me...

I'm dealing with horrible nerve pain, I asked a few people who they recommended and they made sure not to have my doctor refer Dr. Kevin Drew, they said his bed side manner is horrible , told one of my friends to find a better job that has better insurance then see me, my friend was in a horrible car accident about 15 years ago with a crushed skull and broke back, I'm sure she's going to have severe pain. Then a coworker told me, whatever do! Don't go there!! He's an a--hole! So I told my doctor and he wasn't going to refer me to him anyway.
But if they have so much to deal with and are rude. Maybe they need to go work in a factory where they don't have to deal with people! Sad, that it being people with chronic miserable pain.

I question his practice. They seem to want to take you off what is working and move you to other things. They do not check on the other meds you are on...

I had also gone to this office for the past seven or eight years. They never offered anything but pain medication. They got me on so much medication and then he left me high and dry. He refuse to fill a prescription for the pain medication and I left office to go through withdrawal all on my own. If you've never experienced this you don't want to it is an awful awful time. He as much as called me a liar also. Send my worst enemy to this doctor and for sure I will never see him again.if I could give it no stars .
