I first encountered Dr Stone at St Joseph's hospital where I was being treated for a thyroid issue. She did not have an exam room booked for me, and asked where I wanted to be examined. I told her to please find a private room, as I didn't feel comfortable being examined in the waiting room in front of other patients. She also did not have my chart in front in her, and when I asked if I could have a copy of my records, she asked why I would need that. I found this unprofessional, but willing to give benefit of the doubt. However, when I began asking questions about my thyroid issue, Dr Stone seemed irriated by my curiosity and often cut me off or gave short, flippant answers.

For a follow up appointment, Dr Stone told me someone from her office would call me to arrange a time. When this didn't happen, I called Dr Stone directly and she told me to come in the following week at a particular time and date. When that time came, I arrived at her office to find it locked with no one there. I waited 45 mins and left. I called everyday to reschedule, but no one has answered the office phone and her voice mail is full.

If Dr Stone is a competent doctor, I would not know. But I can tell you for certain that she is unprofessional and will not respect you as patient.

Dr. Stone was very helpful and thorough. She took time to explain test results so that I could understand them. As her patient, I really appreciated her support and her methodology, helping the patient take ownership

Avoid at all costs. Saw for years when she had a secretary which was the only thing keeping her going. Since she is gone place has completely gone to h*ll

I receive no help from this so called specialist. Does not do refills, does not have any blood work in front of her. We are paying for this poor service with our tax dollars.

I was referred to Dr Stone after being rushed to the ER in near thyroid storm. She was over an hour late for my initial appointment actually delaying other tests which needed to be done at the hospital. She was extremely dismissive to both my questions and previous health diagnoses and did not explain things in terms that anyone outside the healthcare community would understand. Had to argue with her to switch my meds after the first drug made me extremely ill. The third time I saw her was at her office and after seeing me waiting said “who are you and why are you here?” Had no record of my appointment despite telling me to come at that time a month earlier. After finally switching dr’s was told I was on a dose of medication that wasn’t 6-8x higher than anyone at that hospital with prescribe. No assistant and does not communicate by phone. It’s extremely frustrating trying to work with Dr stone and for me became too much. Stay away at all costs.

I have been diabetic on insulin for over twenty-five years. Dr. Stone is my endocrinologist and I am glad. As a medical professional, Dr. Stone makes sense. She listens to her patients and makes appropriate recommendations when indicated.
