I have been to countless doctors over many years-both good and bad-he is one of the worst. The staff @ Open Door is phenomenal, but he certainly does not fit the bill there. I have been a patient for years and it seems like every time he comes in the room, he has no idea who I am. Once he is reminded, it's as if he wants as little interaction as possible. I NEVER take the time to fill out surveys, but felt compelled to do so this time. He might do well to remember that we,patients, come in to see him when we are sick, vulnerable, etc., and just a little kindness and caring goes a LONG way! And, if he took a moment to remember why he wanted to go into medicine in the first place, how excited he must have been when passing his boards, etc., he might come into the rooms with a smile and some compassion. I don't write this maliciously, I REALLY would like to see a change in his bedside manner, because we need to feel safe in the hands of our caregivers. PLEASE: Care or retire.

I was a patient with this Dr. for almost 10-years. I had 3+ visits with him a month.He would act as if he was meeting me for the first time with each visit. He always seemed more interested with giving me medication rather than trying to figure out what was wrong with me. At times it was very hard to even get an appointment than it would be 2+ hour wait to finally get in to see him. Your appointment would always be done on a hurried state, their were times that I was actually in the examination room for 1.5 hours waiting for the Dr. to return to finish my examination. I am now on total disability and have a new Dr. that is great.

Does not seem as knowledgable as he should be. Flip-flops on diagnoses and treatments.

There were several issues, i went in with a serious spinal disorder and was hoping for some understanding of what options might be available, after describing my condition, he simply looked at me and said "I don't know." I then asked for an anti-depressant as my physical condition was overwhelming my life, he gave me Cymbalta to which i had a severe near-suicidal reaction (i am 40, not a teenager). When i told of him of this he just shook his head, and did not offer anything else (nor suggest treatment) that might help, it should be said however that it was more curiosity as i was not willing to try another ssri at that point. Lastly, i asked when he gave me the Cymbalta if it would interfere with the St. John's Wort that i had been taking, i said that i did not want to experience "Serotonin Syndrome", he did not know this term and referred me to the rep who happened to be at the clinic. Overall, i did not feel that this doctor was competent to treat my conditions.
