Hello All
Let me introduce myself and journy thru a fractured wrist in 7
Yes 7 places..
My name is Ron Mickelson. Spelt the same as that famous golfer . Phil Mickelson . I Wish I was related. Nuff of that. Lets go back in time to. August the 3rd. 1990
Quite a longtime ago. Exactley 28 long years. Also With a good left Jab. Or aundercut right under the opponents chin. Due to This wonderous knowledgable man of a Top surgeon Ranked 5th in the Province. I have had no Issues with the bad break. Over these last 28 years. I was 36 years old. I am now 64 yrs old and in tough shape with osteoathritis. Attacking all my cervical spinal joints. Drooping shoulder on right. Arthitis in my knuckle joints , in hips shoulders knees. Reys syndrom. Forced into disability retirement at 2013. From my company I started exactly 20 years ago . 2009 to 2013.
I was in quite a leaping flying bicycle crash episode of the century. On a bicycle going to watch son play bball. Down a bby str. Hill quite sloped. Gained to much speed for. The right hand turn I was going to make lower down the inclined street. What the
Heck lightning thought quick take this turnto right. Yes well . At the speed I was travelling that big intersection corner became a lot Smaller. Hence mario Andretti could not make that turn.
The Good parts coming now. Being the street had such a big slope the front yard of the corner house dropped about 4 feet down a hill on the yard from the sidewalk. I would say it was A Big drop of roughly est. 10 to 12 feet. I was flying that high hands first like superman. As I never made the corner I can see this so fast as lightig. Running smack front wheel
Into good 8 inch high curb. Dang bike stayed and waited at curb while the flying plumber . Aka superman. Landed 20 feet away down the hill dropped 20 feet. Broke my left wrist in 7 places
And was knocked out fora short 5 minutes. I stood up walked upthe grassy hilly yard. . Walked over to my bike and picked it up with my left hand. What the popcorn is goin on. Shouda seen the bicycle
Fall to the ground. Never new or felt any immediate pain. Was funny
The dead limp useless hand. Was like a dead ragdoll. Lol. Best surgeon on the Job was
Doctor Paul Wright. Installed in my broken 7 bones a work of art.
6 screws and 1 stainless steel plate
Wish I could attach the x-ray. I have it. Smart doc, goodfellow top honors from me. Im goig about my broken hemus. Shoulder break healed wrong. And prolly require his services.

Dr Wright performed surgery on my torn ACL 20 years ago. I'm now 62 years old and I'm still cycling, hiking, and skiing. He gave me my life back and I'm forever grateful. On top of that like others have said, he is a great guy. I highly recommend Dr. Wright.

Nicest doctor I've ever had. He listened to me and tried to help, I do wish he would have understood that I had no money. He made a lot of suggestions for things that might help but they all cost money. Would not discuss a second surgery if I did not get physio but it was not something I could afford so I'm stuck in limbo right now. But he was extremely patient and kind.

Dr Wright performed hip surgery on my Mom who suffered from Alzheimer's quite a few year's ago & treated her with respect & dignity. When I was in need of a surgeon I knew he was the one I wanted to see. Not only is he an excellent surgeon but he is very kind & caring & takes time to talk & listen to his patients. I have always felt very positive after leaving his office and am having no second thoughts about my own surgery that is coming up.

Without a doubt, one of the most professional, knowledgeable and thorough doctors I've ever been to. He was recommended by a colleague who had amazingly successful knee surgery so I had Dr. Wright perform mine, which was also successful. He and his staff at the Burnaby Hospital gave me better service than I've had in some good hotels! He has a fantastic reputation and is highly respected by anyone I've talked to who knows him.
