Dr. Church is a compassionate, empathetic physician. Aside from his incredible medical treatments, he is a rare breed in today's medical community. You deserve a well earned happy retirement Jim!

Dr. James Church mocked me and insisted that I walk on my tippy toes forward and heels backwards as I was getting assessed for a scooter, he totally forgot that I was and am missing my crucix ligaments in my knees and have numerous injuries ( as he had my life events causing injuries in my file at his office, he seemed to have not bothered refreshing his memory) and should have been wheelchair bound a long time ago. He stated after I told him I couldn't do this he insisted I try and I fell forward towards him and backwards almost hitting the wall. Afterwards he stated see you can do this and I'm not going to approve a $24000 scooter for you for the province of B.C. to buy for you. He suggested that I eat less with a motion towards his mouth with his hand and that he was denying this request. He gave me a referral for physiotherapy that was already written on paper which was outdated and one place was closed. The next day and hours after my visit I was stuck in bed unable to ambulate. He is the most arrogant power tripping individual I have ever yet to have met, he seemed to dislike me and possibly women in general I feel. . He diagnosed me with Faucet Syndrome on my second visit based on my ex rays as this was my third visit. I then contacted Home care nursing for an assessment and was approved within 3 weeks and the scooter cost $3500. I will never ever see him again.

I have been seeing Dr. Church for more than 20 years in probably the same location. I have nothing but good things to say about the guy and dread the day he retires. I was first told to go to him by a plumber whom worked for me in the home building industry many years ago . I in turn have sent allot of people his way .

After seeing many specialists and being handled by chiropractors that made things worse, Dr Church figured out the REAL cause in no time. While he is humble enough to refer out, he has a great success rate himself. Most grateful to him and to several friends who recommended him.

I found Dr. Church extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He is not a talkative man, so perhaps the patients with negative experiences were put off by how quiet he is. I found he listened very well and asked me excellent questions. His advice was very effective and I am very grateful to him.

Dr.Church told me I didn't need my orthotics so take them out and get a good pair of runners.I had been wearing my orthotics for 15+ years EVERYDAY. About 8 mo later I had developed a pain down my left leg only during the night. It kept me awake. Daytime no pain. Finally I went back to him to see why and he had me go for xrays first. Then told me I needed to go on Celebrex for 3 weeks to see if the pain went away. I did not want to take drugs but I succumbed and took it for 3 weeks. No change. When I went back to see him after the three weeks were up and suggested that perhaps my left SI was out he said no it wasn't but hadn't examined me at all. Finally he said ok get up on the table and he proceeded to do his SI adjustment on me without explaining to me what he was doing. I was nervous and not relaxed when he did the thrust movement. I left and later that evening my low back went into SEVERE spasms for 5 days. I was in so much pain. The week later I went back to him to tell him what had happened and he wanted me to now take PREDNISONE, a steroid drug, for a month he said to reduce the inflammation. He apologized for the doing the adjustment and said he shouldn't have as I was too inflamed. I told him I was NOT going to take a steroid drug and left. As a result of this adjustment I ended up with a hip impingement which took 4 months of physio to resolve. This all could have been avoided if he had told me to GRADUALLY take my orthotics out, not cold turkey! Our feet are the foundation of our skeletal structure. My body struggled to find it's "new normal" as I continued my activities for months after taking them out. Dr. Church, of all practitioners SHOULD have known this. To then prescribe heavy duty drugs to treat the pain he caused by doing an adjustment he shouldn't have is inexcusable.

Do not see DR Church if you are pregnant! He put almost all of his body weight on my side/stomach when I was laying on my side and caused a lot of pain and spotting, I had to go to the ER.

The worst Dr I have ever gone to, a complete waist of time. After a long detailed description of my problem I looked a me for a minute, told me to bend over and proceded to tell me he couldn't help me. Not sure how this guy got his license. Gives me the creeps.
