Dr Siwek performed an artificial heart valve replacement on me on 5/08/2001. Here I am 20 years later thanks to the good doctor. You can’t get any better than that.

20 years ago I had heart surgery. I was 3 months old and the surgery was extremely experimental. I was a tiny baby 9 maybe 10lbs. Obviously the surgery was successful because I am still here today. Dr. Siwek was a very talented doctor and saved my life. Today my sister had open heart surgery to have a valve replacement because of the nature of the surgery she had to be put on bypass and they brought in a surgeon from Providence Medical Center in Spokane to do it. During the procedure the doctor ended being able to fix her valve instead of replacing it. He is probably the only surgeon in the Inland Northwest who could have done that. His name. Dr. Leland Siwek. The very same doctor who saved my life has saved my sister's as well. Strange how things work out
