I am ever so THANKFUL to have the expertise and skills of Dr. Tumi. He removed a ruptured implant from my breast. Implant's were removed and Dr. Tumi performed a lift on the natural breasts. I cannot express how pleased I am with the result. Dr. Tumi presents the work of a true Artist.. Dr. Tumi's office manager, Karyn is the most caring and loving person , I am in Durham Region. Karyn arranged home care nurses to attend to me in home afterwards and help with the necessary medical procedures and ensuring the healing and surgery after care for smooth recovery.. Karyn at the front desk is always so helpful and such a joy to be around. I first came for a surgery in 2019 and she made me feel comfortable and was so pleasant. Since then I have been a patient of theirs for other procedures and swear by Barrie plastic surgery. The team is wonderful:) nothing bad to say.

Dr Tumi performed hand surgery for my Trigger finger at RVH. He took care of me professionally and diligently. He put me at ease throughout the surgery. He put a smile on my face when I was feeling worried. Thank you Dr Tumi and your nurse you both put me at ease.

Absolutely the most unprofessional place of business I’ve ever been to. To start off, my first consultation was embarrassing, I took of my bra and he looks at me and says “you poor girl” but that’s not even the problem… long story short, he put in a size LESS then I consent too, then gave me alter documents when I requested for my consent form and made me pay for the consent form, which didn’t include all documents. Not only that, the implants are 3 inches apart and one is about an inch higher than the other. They agreed to fix this, told me I had to wait a year then decided they were going to charge me for their mistake. They refuse to fix their own mistake, and now have a new surgeon who had confirmed the implants were too far apart and one is much higher than the other. Dr Tumi will take them out for free, which would mean cutting me open taking the implant out and sewing me back up, but refuses to do the same surgery but just putting the implant size in that I wanted ( which would fix the spacing issue). His reasoning for not putting in the size I wanted was that it didn’t fit, but after ready surgery notes he didn’t even attempt the size I asked for. I now require a second surgery and will have 2 scars on the one breast due to his lack of knowledge or just pure negligence. Not only is my problem with dr Tumi himself, but with his assistant Karyn, she’s rude, refuses to call me and choose to only communicate by email, on fridays before they close for the weekend. And sometimes she will ignore me all together and then when I follow up she’s rude with me.

I had my first consult with Dr. Tumi, and he was beyond fabulous. He is the second aurgeon I've met with, and by far, the best with regards to mannerisms, professionalism, attentiveness and even a little humour. I saw some comments about him making people get undressed with little regard for them, and that was NOT my experience. He was so graceful, kind and respectful. I trusted him pretty soon agywe he shook my hand, and have chosen him to perfom my procedures. He is extremely knowledgeable and despite me going in with the idea of a BA, he insisted a lift will suit me best (which is a big cost savings). The first specialist I saw, told me it would look so much better with implants and that a lift would do nothing. With Dr. Tumi, I was treated with respect, dignity, and compassion. He answered all my questions and added even more important information to my "need to know" list. Lastly, I've chosen to look at the reviews of those who aren't bashing his office staff, or have not had actual surgery. Thank you to the ones who had surgery performed by him, and shares their experience.

Completely irresponsible Doctor or Staff. After waiting for 4 Month for an response on my Doctors referable, it was not accepted. Waiting in pain for 4 month and now have to start to find another specialist. STAY AWAY.

Dr. Tumi seemed fine, however his staff completely ruined the experience and i will not be returning.
his office manager is the rudest most condescending person i have ever met. they cancelled my appointment last minute because they told me the wrong address and wouldn’t wait the five minutes it would take me to get there. she then tried rescheduling me for march just to call back and make me come in this month for 9:15, upon arrival she states that i wasn’t due until 9:45 and when we tried to voice our opinion about all of this (mind you she was previously extremely rude over the phone) she turned the blame onto us and spoke down to us. it was very disappointing. Staff like this make or break the place. and in this case, it’s broken.

Please find another plastic surgeon - I do not recommend this doctor or his staff in anyway. My aftercare package was left on the medical assistants desk for 3 weeks after my surgery and I never received the after care instructions. After a year and more of pain - I am now told the issue in my right breast has nothing to do with the surgery. I have never heard anything so completely inappropriate or irresponsible in my life . It’s the worst after care I have ever experienced and no one should have any surgery of any serious nature with people so inept and uncaring . Save yourself a lot of heartache and find a different doctor.
