As a chronic pain patient, it's often difficult for me to obtain treatment in emergency situations. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Todd on one such visit to the ER, during a terrible medication reaction. He listened to what I had to say, without treating me like a common criminal simply because I require narcotic pain medication. He did the best he could to help me manage my reaction until my regular doctor could take over, and although the steps failed, I still feel like he treated me with respect and dignity - two things that are sorely lacking in emergency care for chronic pain patients.
