We came to our appointment at the office. We were told for the first time that Menard doesn't have any in person appointments anymore, that he only does virtual. But the confirmation over the phone, and emails/texts had no mention of the appointment being virutal. Can you please clean that up and the lack of accountability on the receptionists part was very dismissive. I don't appreciate the time and gas and work (money)I'm missing because of this error on your offices part. I hope that my son can still get some time with Dr Menard as this was his last appointment and a very important one. No links been sent and no calls to cancel. We have not been notified and we feel this is very unprofessional and rude to blame us for not knowing that Menard doesn't do in person when clearly the reminders and the call did not say anything about his being a virtual only doctor. How are we supposed to know this when we haven't met Dr Menard since covid years ago. This needs to be clearly stated on your answering machine, on emails, and the first initial phone call. Because we didn't receive a link, I checked all my folders. And checked my text messages dating back a week. I hope to hear from Menard regarding this error. And acknowledge that this is not professional. I've had rude undertones from this receptionist and the previous receptionist at the Wesley Street before as well. But I wasn't there enough to even care to report it. Thank you

We always feel well cared for when seeing Dr. Menard at an appointment. He is calm and kind. Our challenges are related to the receptionist who makes no effort to be helpful and comes off as rude. We would switch to another doctor because of her if it wasn’t for our history with Dr. Menard. It would also be nice if someone answered the phone every once in awhile. We have to leave a message every time. It feels like they just don’t want to be bothered by us in any way between appointments. We don’t feel well supported, mostly just pushed aside.

We love Dr. Menard! The lady that answers the phone and makes appointments isn’t the nicest though. She comes off rude and argumentative.

Dr. Menard is wonderful but the front end staff member answering the phone is rude and argumentative. I woudn't choose this office based on how I was spoken to.

great Doctor able to handle my son great sense of humour , waited until he had all the results before giving medication.

We were referred to him after we moved back to nanaimo, husband didn't like him in the office but was willing to give him a chance. Our youngest ended up getting admitted to the hospital due to repeated airway swelling from his hereditary angioedema, Dr. Menard came in saw that his throat was swelling and then disappeared and didnt follow through with anything he said he was going to do, when he showed up again 3 hours later my husband told him to step up and do better or pass him off. My boys do not have simple medical issues most doctors find it fascinating and want to learn more meanwhile he couldnt even be bothered, so he handed him off to another doctor who was just as incompetent. Let's not forget he also never checked his lab results and missed the trigger that was causing all of the throat swells. So yeah if you want a passive unhelpful brainless doctor then sure hes the guy for you but if your kids actually have medical issues keep far away from him.

Very kind, funny, gentle and welcoming. My son had his first appointment with Dr. Menard today and absolutely adored him. (He is 7 months). As life has it... It turn out Dr. Menard was one of the doctors to deliver my son during his emergency C-Section. My husband, during those hectic moments, found comfort in the peace and calm expressed by Dr. Menard and the medical staff. Staff at his office was lovely aswell! All-in-all, very happy with our experiences!

The doc was helpful and knowledgable on the my sons medication and medical history. I will continue to see him to assist my child with his needs. Please give him a try if you think you need a pediatricians assistance. others only have good things to say about him. Which can reduce the stress one has a parent.

Dr Menard is kind, knowledgeable, genuine, attentive and calm. Both of our children have seen him on many occasions and he has always been amazing! Always calm and so invested in his patients. For him it's not just his day job, he is genuinely there to help.
As for the negative review on the previous page, I have to say that sounds nothing like Dr Menard.
