I went in because I had been taking a very expensive ADD medication that I could no longer afford due to having reached my cap on insurance payments for prescription drugs for the year and my primary care doctor was on vacation. All I was looking for was a prescription for something more affordable, but he insisted that I go to an A.D.D. specialist to be re-tested for it (NOT covered by insurance) so they could be sure I had it....I guess I just don't see how being treated for something for a long time isn't evidence enough of being afflicted by it. In the end, couldn't afford the test, am now untreated for A.D.D., and struggling just to pass my classes. Thanks Dr. S.

I saw Dr. Steinmetz for my very first annual exam when I was going to school in River Falls. He was very helpful. He made sure he talked with me before I got undressed and told me everything he was going to do, before he did it. I learned early on that an annual exam does not have to hurt and have been very picky about the doctors and nurse practitioners who I see.
